Great value, pleasant surrounds

We were there with friends at their suggestion for the Prime rib special on Tuesday nights. It was delicious. Cooked just as we ordered it. Enough to take home for lunch the next day. The sides were good, the salad was ok, fresh but small. Our server was personable and efficient. The price is... read more

Maybe I am not a fan of Delmonico potatoes which my boyfriend says he loves and the waitress recommended as I found them bland and would not try again. The haddock I ordered was lemon dill but did not have much flavor at all. My man ordered the fried scallop plate. He thought it was great. I never ate a... More

Great food, service and ambiance. The best bean dip and pecan rolls anywhere! Highly recommended! One of our "GO TO" places to eat.

This has been one of our favorite places from visiting the area to now living here. If you like Prime Rib you HAVE to go for breakfast before 11 am: Prime Rib with Two Eggs any style, homefries, toast & Jelly for 11.99! They also have wonderful early bird specials and daily specials. We went for lunch on Valentines Day... More

It's been more than 10 years since we've eaten at the Century House primarily because our last experience was less than pleasant. Decided to give it another try for dinner on a Wednesday night in January 2015. Didn't take long for my memory to kick in...place was busy so we decided to eat at the bar. Nondescript decor, not a... We have been coming back to the Century House since our first visit. We usually make it for lunch on either Monday or Tuesday. This past Tuesday (Jan 6th) the bar was full so we decided to sit in the tavern. Great service was given to us by Jennifer (in the tavern). The food was delicious. I had the salad... More

You can always count on a great breakfast! The eggs are cooked perfect and the toast is always perfect. There french toast is also really good and the portion is just right. My only complaint is that my tea water was not as hot as I prefer. The fried potatoes are always a winner except I prefer them without the... More

On a snowy saturday my family visited a restaurant that truly took me back to the 1970's and eighties when every town/city had that special restaurant where all family gatherings took place. The Century House is one of these places. From the bean dip and cottage cheese and crackers, fresh cinnamon pecan rolls and bread, choice of salad and huge... More

If you're looking for a traditional prime rib dinner, end your search and go to the Century House in Peabody. My husband and I made the trip after a few local prime rib disappointments in our southern New Hampshire area. I ordered the Regular Cut and was not disappointed! It was top quality, spectacular, soft, tender, flavorful, juicy and cooked... More

Visited on a busy Friday night. The waitress seemed a bit disoriented, though pleasant. The salads arrived with the entrees, rolls came a few minutes later. Food was nothing special. Loud table of ten nearby made it difficult to talk.
