We have been coming back to the Century House since our first visit. We usually make it for lunch on either Monday or Tuesday. This past Tuesday (Jan 6th) the bar was full so we decided to sit in the tavern. Great service was given to us by Jennifer (in the tavern). The food was delicious. I had the salad... More

You can always count on a great breakfast! The eggs are cooked perfect and the toast is always perfect. There french toast is also really good and the portion is just right. My only complaint is that my tea water was not as hot as I prefer. The fried potatoes are always a winner except I prefer them without the... More

On a snowy saturday my family visited a restaurant that truly took me back to the 1970's and eighties when every town/city had that special restaurant where all family gatherings took place. The Century House is one of these places. From the bean dip and cottage cheese and crackers, fresh cinnamon pecan rolls and bread, choice of salad and huge... More

If you're looking for a traditional prime rib dinner, end your search and go to the Century House in Peabody. My husband and I made the trip after a few local prime rib disappointments in our southern New Hampshire area. I ordered the Regular Cut and was not disappointed! It was top quality, spectacular, soft, tender, flavorful, juicy and cooked... More

Visited on a busy Friday night. The waitress seemed a bit disoriented, though pleasant. The salads arrived with the entrees, rolls came a few minutes later. Food was nothing special. Loud table of ten nearby made it difficult to talk.

Large bar area. Great for lunch, Keno, etc. Usually very good bar service and the food is excellent.

I ordered the Salmon and it was a generous portion. Many times when I order Salmon it is not a very large piece. It came with a salad and a vegetable. We also had crackers with bean dip and bread and butter and also pecan rolls. A lot of food for a great price.

Went to the Century House for a late lunch/early supper on Friday Oct 31st.. Sat at the bar. Jennifer was our bartender. Excellent service. Bloody Mary's were delicious. I had the baked stuffed shrimp. It was delicious. It is very hard to find a restaurant now that serves baked stuffed shrimp. My husband had the seafood alfredo over linguine. Delicious... More

We really enjoyed the food here - great omelettes and pancakes - our grandson actually finished his food and some of mine - that was a miracle. Fast service, reasonable priced - would definitely go back there again.

My first time going out for dinner at the Century House was actually a great experience! the staff was polite, the restaurant was clean, but the concern I had was the baked haddock dish. I've had baked haddock at almost every restaurant around the north shore, but this was the first time my haddock came with the skin on it.... More
