Description: The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish. Seafood Nation loves our outpost in Peabody, at the junction of Routes 128 and 114. Those traveling to and from the beaches in Cape Ann are known to jump ship for some fresh catch. And those considering a fishing trip, visit us instead. Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there’s no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker. We’ve received a boatload of accolades including “Most Popular Boston Restaurant” (Zagat, 2012/2013), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Improper Bostonian, 2010), “Best Chowder” (Boston Magazine, 2010), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.

We came here in June 2012 and we're back in Boston in early Jan so we revisited and happy to say that our first experience was not a fluke. We started with some Maine oysters which had a perfect balance of brine and creaminess, chowder which was pretty good but not superstar quality, and then some prawns and crab cakes,... More

My family and I recently had a special occasion we wanted to celebrate, and we all agreed on Legal Sea Foods in Peabody. Everything about our experienced there was perfect ... from the warm and friendly greeting at the front door to the service to the food. Legal Sea Foods remains at the top of our "go-to" restaurants!

Went to Legal Seafoods in Peabody with another couple as kinda of a last minute thing. Was able to get 7:30 reservations but did have to wait a bit. The appetizers were awesome and the entrees cooked to perfection. Had a couple of martinis and we were done. The place started clearing out around 10 o'clock. Don't know if that... More

Legal Seafood in Peabody did not live up to the hype of their name and reputation of the Boston branches of the early days. The restaurant ambience is louder and noisier than most Fast food places, service was slow, and the food was of average quality and way below average in portion size. Ordered Fried Clams ($19 today) and there... More

Staff was friendly, but food was just ok. We usually have better meals at Legal but this one was just average.

This "chain" restaurant serves anything but chain style food. I hadn't eaten here in a while and wondered how it would be after knowing that there are so many "Legals" around the country. The ambiance is inviting and comfortable. The waitstaff were friendly and observant and the food was top quality. Prices have risen to a higher level than you... More

Hubby and I have eaten at Legal Sea Foods in various spots around Boston, but were absolutely floored by the perfection of the Peabody location. The setting is on the outskirts of the Northshore Mall, so we weren't expecting much. It turned out we were wrong. The ambiance is inviting, comfortable, friendly, and very cozy. But what REALLY blew us... More

I went to Legal seafood with friends in September during a visit to Massachusetts. It was very good food, service, and overall a good atmosphere.

My wife and I had lunch recently in the Northshore Mall, Peabody, location of Legal Sea Foods. My wife had the fried fish sandwich ($11.50) which she enjoyed very much. The fish was fresh and flavorful and the batter crisp and not greasy. I had the Fish Tacos ($13.95) which were the same fried fish as in the sandwhich. The... More
