Wasn't crazy about it!

Limited menu is the first thing we noticed. Tips of all types and pizza. The pizza crust was well done and hard as a rock. We didn't love it. After hearing all the hype about this place we were disappointed.

I was in N. Boston on business and had a rare free night. I caught a movie and had a craving for pizza. A quick search turned Santarpio's up as the place to try. Local - great. Not a chain - great. Good reviews - great. I got there at 9pm, hungry, and stood at the front counter waiting for... More

This is the perfect place if you want pizza or lasagna clean quiet affordable. Casual dress kid friendly. Every time we go there the owner comes out to greet you acts like your his buddy makes sure everything is okay. You would expect such behavior from your wait staff so they would get a good tip but not in this... More

Went to this place because MSN rated it one of the "Best Pizzas in the USA" ....WRONG !!!...Ordered the Meat Lovers pizza....The meat was SOOOO greasy & SOOO much cheese, you couldn't pickup a slice; all the toppings fell off !!...The crust was SOGGY !!...Service was marginal...Don't bother trying it !!!

Always heard santarpios in east boston had great pizza so when we stumbled onto the one in route one we thought, "why not?" Restaurants a little dated but we liked the photo on the menu of mr. Santarpio (presumably) and thought, "this will be fun." Ordered two coronas and a sausage and mushroom pizza. Pizza was ok, thin with a... More

We had two pies, one everything w/o anchovies and a white pizza. Thin crust, cooked just right and they went well with a cold beer!

For traditional pizza lovers, this is the place. Great thin crust with a cornmeal crunch, tasty and wonderful sauce, and toppings are plenty. This is not artisanal pizza with clever and unique toppings, but enough to keep you and your party happy. Wonderful flavor keeps you eating more - yum! Also, don't miss the beef and lamb kabobs grilled to... More

Stopped here late before checking into our hotel. This is a pizza joint, no subs, no apps. However, pizza was very good. They did have steak tips that look and smell delicious. We had the works, no anchovies. Plus it had slices of garlic and garlic powder sprinkled on entire pizza. It is a standard New England pizza, similar to... More

I can only speak to the pizza, but it was amazing - so much so that we returned a second night! Highly recommend.

We only got a pizza but it was was only ok...I thought it was over cooked and a little spicy. Not a great location in my opinion. Could have been better considering some of the recommendations.
