I had the lobster roll. It was fresh with crisp lettuce. The staff was very friendly. They helped us have a quick, late lunch. Want to come back for a dinner.

My husband and I stopped here on our way to Syracuse NY. It was well worth the small detour off the highway. It's an old RR Station converted into a restaurant. Loved all the old signs, and furnishings inside, and the train cars parked outside. We happened to go on a Wednesday night which is their buffet night. It was... More

Great food, service, ambiance and decor. If you are a train aficionado you will love it even more. We were there for lunch. Breakfast Buffet looks like it would be worth a trip also. Definitely worth hopping off the Mass Pike for. Potato logs and "crantastic" chicken Caesar salad were terrific

First of all I would like to say that I am a local in the area so we have been to the Steaming Tender several times over the years. We are a family of 5 to include children ages 10 to 6. Our family loves going here because well....the environment/area is in my kids words "really cool!". The restaurant is... More

If you are a train person, this is the place to be. The restaurant is in an old restored train station. There are lots of artifacts of a bygone era on display plus the trains that pass. Sometimes the train stops to let the conductor hop out to work the switch and change tracks. Lots of fun. Every time we've... More

Serendipitously we ate here for our anniversary dinner. Our first choice was closed for renovations, shame on us for not having called. I thought of the Steaming Tender, called and found they were open, but only because of the Brimfield antique show, they are usually closed Monday and Tuesday. Not only was it a good choice, but it offers train... More

Here is a place you learn about from someone else. I've never seen any media ads for Steaming Tender, but people sure know about it since the parking lot if usually pretty well filled-up. They have a very good selection of foods, plus a buffet with reasonable variety. The decor is as great a variety as the menu, with lots... More

Had another great dinner at the Steaming Tender. Had the famous 1/2 pound burger and potato logs, was cooked to order. Have never been disappointed with the place.
