Stopped with friends for dinner. Wednesday night is buffet night. I might add, NOT to be missed. Food was just great, and eating in an historic 19th century Romanesque-style train station. A 1915 Porter Steam locomotive and its Tender are displayed on the restaurant's grounds, along with a 1909 Parlor Car. WOW. Trains run locally eastbound and westbound throughout the... More

We were driving from Brimfield, MA to Hyde Park, NY yesterday as part of our two-week trek from Boston to Dallas, TX. Eight of us! We were chatting about how Martha Stewart says that tag sales are the best places to shop sometimes (we don't have TAG sales in Texas!), and we saw a sign for a church tag sale,... More

This place is really off the beaten track, but worth a visit - especially for train enthusiasts. The owners have lovingly restored a huge train station and maintained the original character while also turning it into a restaurant. There is a vast selection of food to choose from and it is of good quality. The restaurant appeals to people of... More

The atmosphere is wonderful. The building and the nostalgia really create the back in time feel. However, the food is average at best. Sandwiches and burgers don't stand out from other places, the app platter was good but nothing to be astonished with. We were there on a Sunday right after their brunch ended and even though the waitress was... More

The meal was great and the staff was of great service. Another party was celebrating a birthday and the staff brought a birthday treat while singing.. all railroad themed of course! The atmosphere was great and, being a railfan myself, enjoyed all of the train action outside of the window, even if Amtrak doesn't stop there... they should at least... More

Children's menu was decent , no prob w/that..my husband got the duck which he said was good. I got the fried haddock..yuck!... More

I had the lobster roll. It was fresh with crisp lettuce. The staff was very friendly. They helped us have a quick, late lunch. Want to come back for a dinner.

My husband and I stopped here on our way to Syracuse NY. It was well worth the small detour off the highway. It's an old RR Station converted into a restaurant. Loved all the old signs, and furnishings inside, and the train cars parked outside. We happened to go on a Wednesday night which is their buffet night. It was... More
