The owners did a remarkable job restoring this old Depot Train Station. When I was a kid it was an old pool hall pretty old and run down. It is now restored beautifully into a unique restaurant and has a look and feel you will have to see for yourself. Very enjoyable atmosphere friendly service and very good food. As... More

Luckily found this excellent establishment looking for a shortcut . What a great place in such a little normal town! Service is excellent , food and decor is the same. You will not be disappointed and you too will fall under the spell. Hands down.....the pinnicale!

This restaurant is located in an elegant old train depot that feels like you're dining in the early 1900's. Antiques are all around you. The original ticket window now serves as the hostess stop. The food is good old america fare, nothing gourmet about it, but still very good quality and cooked to your likeness. However, the best part of... More

The Tender is an historic train station that has been restored to its vintage charm and converted to a resturant. The wait staff has always been very friendly and the food is great. A really neat atmosphere around Christmas time, too.

My husband and myself and friends ate lunch at the train depot last week...Two trains passed us as we were sitting having lunch...Nice and clean restaurant...Friendly owners. This time 3 of us had the buffet which was chicken, stuffing, turkey, fish, beef, roasted potatoes, 2 veggies, salad, rolls, plus their whiskey bread pudding w/whipped cream. The cost of the buffet... More

We had an excellent meal at this neat restaurant. Located in an old train station that is along side a still active train line. The station has been updated to a point, but it still maintains its rustic charm. The structure, wood beams, floor, and paneling is extraordinary. We had 7 of us for lunch around 1 p.m. The place... Thank you for visiting us. I am happy to know that you enjoyed your meals. I would like to get a bit more information on the day and time you dined at the restaurant and if you happen to know the name of your waitress, being that we do not get many service complaints. I would like to address the... More

It was a dark and rainy night. We wanted to find a place to eat before it got much later. We consulted with Trip Advisor and thought we'd give this place a try. Not far off the highway, and such a fun place to pull up to! We were amazed at how beautiful the station is, and all the baggage... More

The SteamingTender is a great attraction at the end. We drive out on a Sunday morning for the buffet breakfast and are neverdissappointed. I first visited this establishment in 2008 when I got married. The service was great, food was great, everything! Even though it landed on a busy Father's Day, the staff was wonderful to us as we had our reception. That being said, fast forward to Sept. 2014. My mother in law took me there for my birthday. Well, I was... More

When at Brimfield - stop at the Palmer Steamer in Palmer, the next town over to the west. Historic restaurant and bar in the old train depot. Had the buffet, and it was excellent. Seafood Newburg was outstanding with excellent scallops. Top off with dessert of the real bread pudding. Nice historical venue and people, and menu. A must stop... More
