For a small bakery in the heart of Orleans, visit Cottage Street Bakery. Homemade items which vary every day. Muffins, breads, coffee rolls, brownies, pies, cakes............all delicious. In the summer time get there early for the best selection. In the off season the soups, sandwiches eaten in a small intimate setting is a nice escape. Food is wonderful all year... More

Cottage street used to be the only game in town. Now there are several competitors, but Cottage Street is still at the top. Their cakes are amazing, but if you want something special get your order in days ahead. Everything is fresh. I am amazed they can produce so much is such a small place.

We decided to get muffins for breakfast on our first morning in Orleans at the Cottage Street Bakery and they were so delicious we went back every day for the rest of our trip. The Cranberry Almond Poppyseed muffins were my favorite, but they were all great - and warm!

We always buy muffins at this bakery. It is hard to pick a favorite because they are all so good. Whenever company visits us we have to serve muffins one morning during our guest stay.

Cottage Street Bakery is centrally located near Cuffy's, the Christmas Tree Shop, and Cooke's, near the intersection of 28 and 6A. It is on a side street and we passed it the first time since it looks like a house. Their "dirt bomb" muffins are to die for! They are nutmeg muffins (I actually don't like nutmeg, but I still... Off route 28, you will find the best bakery on the Cape. Start with the muffins and croissants and finish the day with the carrot cake. A little pricey, but worth every dollar. We always get our baked goods here when we are having company.

The bakery is super cute. However, the only thing I've ever eaten here are the DirtBombs and trust me these are delicious. Staff is friendly, place is clean and has ample parking. If you are on the Cape, be sure to make a quick stop, its well worth it!

Came here to try their signature item. Tasty item. The servers behind the counter range from helpful to not so much. We arrived & they ran out & were making them. Had to ask how long it would take & tell guy we wanted 1. Turned out they were being done then & ready in another 2 min. Most of... More

Everything that we had was great. From the cranberry almond muffin to the apple crunch to the dirt bomb. I called the dirt bomb a WMD (weapon of mass delight). It is a muffin dipped in butter and cinnamon sugar and it is got to be one of the tastiest things I have ever put in my mouth. I was... More
