I have been to pretty much every restaurant here in town over the years--but hadn't been to the Lobster Claw for dinner--I have had lunch there many times--but never dinner-- I was extremely impressed with the Fried Fisherman's platter which I ordered--It made me realize how much better quality the food here was--compared to the many other places I've been.... The Lobster Claw has been in Orleans for over 50 years, and I have driven by, mostly because it is in a busy area and I perceived it as a "tourist trap." My sister and I were very pleasantly surprised. The light bluish green tables looked as if they had been freshly painted, but the waitress said, 'No, they are... More

This was the first place for a lobster roll on this visit to the Cape. It was very good - not the best I have ever had. No filler and lite on Mayo with just a little lettuce beneath it. Pleasant meal. Good service that was very accommodating of a 5 yr. old.

We recently had dinner here and the results are mixed. My husband ordered the bluefish and it tasted old and smelled very fishy. He sent it back. We were not charged for it. I had the fried seafood platter and it was huge and very fresh and delicious. We shared and still had some leftover. The waitress forgot our chowder!

We waited for 40 minutes and being disabled doesn't help when it's only a party of two rather than a huge group. The food was just so-so and the service was less than stellar.

At a restaurant called the Lobster Claw we expected to have a choice on what size lobster to order. They only have one size just a bit over a pound, comes with french fries and cole slaw both of which were only average for $29.99. The service was OK, but would have been better with a smile. Nothing here to... More

For over 20 years my wife and I have had light lunch at various restaurants on Cape Cod. I almost always order a cup (or bowl) of clam chowder - and ask myself "Is this as good as what I get at the Lobster Claw"? So far the answer always has been "No". I mentioned this to Claw owner Don... More

The Lobster Claw was an OK low to mid-budget dinner place if you want seafood. The odd thing was that it didn't have many choices for lobster! I mean, if you're going to have the name "Lobster Claw" and your Menus are going to be in the shape of lobster claws, you should have more than a few options for... More

We were a family of 4 and were seated very quickly despite the amount of cars in the lot. We figured out why when we got there. The place is enormous inside!!! Perfect for very large groups. I wish we had more space on our table since all the accompaniments for a lobster dinner seemed to take over the table.... More

Having vacationed on Cape Cod for nearly 44 years, I have eaten at nearly all of the best restaurants here...some good and some not so good. I remember the decor and "tradition" of the "Ye old Cape Cod ways" from the early 70's, etc. This place embraces the Cape Cod experience from back then with their cleanliness......traditional "crackers and butter...
