Good lunch

My husband and I stopped for lunch and were very happy dining on the waterfront deck. The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. We look forward to dining here when we are back in Orleans.

We recently had dinner at the Orleans Inn. Our party was seated on the deck overlooking Town Cove. The view from the deck was very nice although the decor and general look of the space could use some freshening up. The service was good. The food was a bit uneven. I enjoyed my clam chowder and my son loved his... More

Thanks so much for the review. The deck is very popular. We are glad you enjoyed your meals. The broiled seafood has less flavor than the other preparations. I recommend asking the server for recommendations or a manager is always available to assist you. We are enjoying the best season ever and it is support from guests like you that... More

Was so disappointed in the Orleans Inn. We made Birthday Dinner reservations for an early 5:30 dinner with our 2 Grandchildren and 6 adults. We decided to sit outside overlooking the Bay. Pretty setting and that's the only reason I gave it 1 star. Walking down the stairs to get out to the deck the stairway and downstairs landing smelled... More

I invite anyone that has not been to the Inn to sit in our lobby and listen to the thousands of wonderful comments and praise for the experience of dining or staying here. Your post does not reflect the opinion of 99% of our guests. We see that you have an affinity for another dining establishment in town and suggest... More

Stuffed sole was incredible. Pair it with the clam chowder with lots of clams and your taste buds will love you. Very reasonable priced as total bill for four was around $120.00 including tip. We did not have any adult beverages. The view is spectacular as the Inn sits right on the water. It is perfect for any special occasions... More

Our tour of the marsh got cancelled so we walked next door to the Orleans Inn for lunch. There were 8 of us, and so it took them a few minutes to arrange a couple of tables together but basically no issue with making it happen. The Inn is located right on the town cove. You can stay here or... More

Always make a stop here-- food is great with a terrific view-- they take reservations and the staff is amazing-- Ask owner, Ed to give you a background of the Haunted history of the Inn --

Thank you so much for the kind review. It is guests like you that keep us motivated to serve. I can't tell you how much this means to our family. Like you I love history. My daughter and I stopped in for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. While the kitchen seemed a little slow given that the restaurant wasn't crazy busy, our meals were perfect. We sat in the tavern with a pretty view of the cove. We had fish and chips and a whole belly clam roll. Both were FRESH and light! The clams... More

Thank you so much for your kind review. It is guests like you that motivate us to continue caring and serving. We are glad you enjoyed the warm house made focascia bread and seasoned dipping oil. The food here, including the seafood , is not fresh. It is all previously frozen or boxed & arrives regularly on big out of state 18 wheeler frozen food service trucks, that I see delivering here. I have never seen any fresh produce or seafood delivery trucks, despite having to drive past the building frequently, as it is right on... More

In 20 years we have never had an out of state truck deliver food as you stated. All of our seafood comes from the docks in Provincetown by Cape Tip Seafood. Their boats arrive and they deliver several times a day. You obviously have an agenda to discredit us and it is clear to anyone that knows and loves the... More

Stopped by for lunch on our sight seeing day. Nice old Inn. Nice People. But our friendly waitress messed up our order and we sat for nearly an hour waiting. The squash soup was delicious but the sandwiches were average.

We are glad that you enjoyed the food. I am not sure what happened with the delay in receiving the meal but we sincerely apologize. Mistakes do occur but we are usually right on top of correcting the problem. More

Historical Inn on the Cove. Great view. Sewage smell when you entered the building. Service was just ok. Ordered a Sangria and the bartender opened up an individual juice cup with the Sangria in it and fruit! Fruit was soggy. Waited 30 minutes for appetizers, and a couple that just walked in and ordered got our appetizer by mistake! Food... More

We have a state of the art treatment tank. The odor was not septic but we occasionally detect an odor after someone uses the rest room. We clean the bathrooms every shift but occasionally a guest may leave it less than perfect. We check as soon as we detect anything unusual. Our Sangria is a signature drink which is very... More
