If you are going to or from Provincetown, this slight detour to the outskirts of Orleans is more than worth it for a lover of fried food. We shared fried oysters and scallops which were cooked perfectly with practically no oil residue, which attests to a very skilful and careful frier. I shouldn't eat fried food at all, even though... The Cricket has some of the best fried and broiled seafood on the Cape! A local favorite, most folks get their food to go, but the simple decor provides a place to eat inside or outside if you can't wait to eat your meal! The scallops, fried or broiled, are fantastic! While waiting for your order, stop next door at the... More

Thankfully we happened upon this tiny place on a drive to PTown. Light, crispy fried fish with fries and slaw for him. Overstuffed lobster roll with fries and slaw for me. Not a bite leftover! Stop here and you won't be disappointed!

We went to Sir Cricket to try their fish and chips. The fish was excellent but no fresh cut fries. It would have been great if they had real fries. These restaurants should be making home made fries to serve with their very good cod.

Take this place for what it is. It pushes out order after order of fried food. That's all they do and they are pretty good at it. By far this is not a gourmet restaurant. Not a bad place for the money. During high season don't plan on eating in their small dining room, you will be extremely lucky to... More

We're local, so Sir Cricket's is easy to get to and their fried seafood is worth the wait. Off season, it is a great little stop in Orleans. But, beware of the 'chowder specials' because they might not be homemade.

For such a tiny room, Sir Cricket's puts out deelicious and fresh seafood. Even the fries and onion rings are so-o good. Only a few tables to sit - it is really a "take out." We get the fried scallops a lot and fish and chips. I love their onion rings and fries. Prices are reasonable and you will not... More

This was the crunchiest, tastiest couple of oyster & clam dishes we have ever had! The shellfish had just come off the boat, & the light breading complemented the meat without hiding it's outrageously delicious flavor. If you like great seafood, you just HAVE TO try this tiny little treasure of a restaurant!! (note: a couple of the generous serving... More

This is a great hole-in-the-wall fry joint that is easy to miss. On a busy stretch of Route 28/6A across from the Orleans windmill green, competing for drivers' attention with traffic and the lovely views of Town Cove. It's teeny-tiny, but turnover is quick, and lucky ones can share the picnic table outside. Chowder and fried clams and fish are... More
