Best Casual Restaurant on Cape Cod

The only reason not to come to the Land Ho in Orleans (our favorite) or Harwich on Cape Cod is if you are looking for fine dining with cloth tablecloths and crazy prices. Land Ho has great fresh seafood and good beer. The prices are reasonable and the servers have always been pleasant and... read more

Great lunch , servers are efficient ,the food is nicely presented ,not too big not to small!! The only thing that is missing is a host. Unless you are familiar with the restaurant , you don t know what to do, you choose your table ....you wait...?

We usually stop at Land Ho in the summer, but recently enjoyed a delightful meal in the winter. Clam pie, clam chowder, and lots of other good things to eat. Friendly, busy place. Love the atmosphere.

This pub/restaurant is always busy -- during the summer months, the parking lot is chock-a-block with visitors in their summer attire. Inside, Land Ho is appealing and crowded. Service is pretty fast. Drinks are tall and arrive quickly. All the orders going by look great -- especially the $25 lobster rolls. But, them your food arrives and it is only... More

If forced to go, have a stuffed clam and a beer. After you touch knees with all the other diners because you are on top of each other, you can fight to get your coat off the back of your chair.

Recently I visited the Land Ho in Orleans. It was a mid week December evening so the crowds of summer weren't an issue. 15 years ago I lived on the Cape for almost an entire winter and had many great meals at the "HO' On my recent visit it just wasn't what I remembered. The bartender lacked the energy and... More

Great spot off-season. My wife and I sat at the bar, shared one of the best stuffies we've ever tried. For our dinners, I had the prime rib special and she had the swordfish special. Both were excellent. Finished off with blueberry pie a la mode. We both enjoyed it tremendously.

My husband and I were trying to find a restaurant in mid-late October in the Cape that was open and had good fish. We were driving down Route 6A in Orleans and happened upon Land Ho - also referred to us by staff at Ocean's Edge for a good fish sandwich. I walked in around 5:00 or so to check... More

Great in the off-season, the dark, warm ambiance is more like a tavern. The menu is a predictable mix with a few hidden surprises. One lunch special was tender veal stew, a fork-friendly slab of veal in broth accompanied by a clever mix of spaghetti squash and cranberries.
