Dinner is served in a dining room located in a former sea captain's home. The service was superb and responsive, the food was delicious with excellent presentation. We dined in the garden room with a wonderful view. If you want to celebrate a special occasion, or just the joy of good dining highly recommend!

From the moment of arrival, the feeling is like entering into the old Maritime Cape Cod world. The service is exceptionally wonderful and the updated menu was outstanding. The wine list was reasonable in both selection and price. This is really the quintessential feel good restaurant. Certainly we look forward to many return visits.

The setting is a beautiful sea captain's estate. Fine dining with amazing choices. My husband always orders the veal Milanese , outstanding. My choice is different every time . The prime rib was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Try the crab cake appetizer, excellent with lemon sauce. Portions large, leftovers enjoyed the next day.

Hadn't been for over two years and decided to try again and boy was I glad I did. First of all this is a beautifully traditional New England Restaurant. The service and meal delivery was timely and on point. I went with my husband and son. Each ordered something differnt. I ordered the rack of lamb, my son had the... More

My husband got ill about 2 hours before our scheduled reservation. I kept hoping he'd have a very quick recovery. He did not. None the less, the CLH staff was kind enough to prepare a "To go" meal for me! I'd give them 10 stars for customer service! Thanks CLH!

If you don't mind eating early (seated by 5:15), The Captain Linnell House has a special they don't advertise too much. You purchase your entree, and receive a complimentary lobster bisque (normally $12) and a complimentary desert (normally $8). For a restaurant of this caliber, it's a wonderful value. The food and service are impeccable. The lobster bisque is out... More

We were with friends for a birthday celebration and this restaurant was the perfect place for a quiet and enjoyable dinner. The ambiance is exceptional as is the service staff. The dinner selections were outstanding from the Boulibasse to the Prime Ribs of beef. Everything was prepared exceptionally well and the desserts were worth waiting for. The best Creme Brûlée... We had a group of 4 and had a wonderful time. The food (swordfish for 3 of us), oysters, salads and more were fresh, tasty, and with great sauces. The service was impeccable and not intrusive, but they were fully aware of our timing, and never rushed us.
