Mahoney's isn't your typical Cape Cod joint by any means. The feeling reminds me of a NYC dining spot. They avoid all manner of nets and plastic lobsters in favor of an upscale decor fitting for the food. When we first arrived we were offered a table by the kitchen at which point I decided to leave. Unless a restaurant... More

Excellent drinks and food served in a busy restaurant. The kitchen was concerned about a shrimp allergy and made sure there was no cross contamination. Food came quickly and was excellent. A good place for families with older children and also for couples..

I'm always leery of restaurants in resort or vacation area so finding a good one is a very pleasant surprise. They have a nice menu with seafood (of course) and the other usual fare. Our group had the Chimichurri skirt steak, yellowfin poke, fish and chips, and haddock provencal. All were excellent. Service was outstanding. The place is a little... More

Not your average Cape Cod clam shack or pub. A real, sit down restaurant with an extensive menu of seafood favorites and American fare in the heart of Orleans (6A). Not cheap, but excellent quality food. Service was good, not exceptional, but it's Cape Cod in the summer. The bar is a great place to have a cocktail before dinner... More

The atmosphere is great though it was a little loud for my taste. Food was very good. Staff was very friendly. Maybe a bit pricey for what you get but still, you get a good meal.

First night out with vacationing friends- looking for good seafood meal on the cape. Servers were attentive, the bar was beAutiful, however I cannot comment on the ambiance as we were seated 3 feet of the wait station with a view only of that dark work area. We were the second party seated this night in an establishments that does... More

Mahoney's is our favorite restaurant in the Lower Cape. It has everything, a great bar with TVs if you want to chill and watch a game, atmosphere (fireplace in the bar area in winter is a nice touch), capable and friendly wait staff, a casual part of the restaurant near the bar, and cozy booths and tables for a little... Our expectations were modest for this dinner but Mahoney's excelled. Our server was very attentive and cordial. We were looking for a lighter meal and chose salad with wood grilled shrimp. I don't usually see a salad addition charged 'per shrimp' but once these arrived we saw why. Four big, plump, wood grilled shrimp - absolutely delicious. Couldn't have been... More

Recommended by a good friend who is local, I was sure of a pleasant meal. They were welcoming to a solo diner which is always the first test. The appetizer of mussels and Littlenecks was enough for a meal and was very good. I also had the haddock; good but nothing outstanding. However, what is outstanding is the rich gingerbread... More

We loved the food here - many great choices. The restaurant is on the small side, but that adds to the festive atmosphere. It is a great neighborhood spot, full of local people. It was a bit loud for me - the chatter and the music background made conversation an effort. We loved our meal, but felt that a quieter... More
