Description: The Yardarm Restaurant is a small place with a big imprint. In the last decades we've prided ourselves on being the go-to meeting spot for locals in Orleans. On any given day, you'll find townsfolk like fisherman, physicians and plumbers all sharing stories over drinks or watching the Patriots. The Yardarm is a place where friends meet and where new friends are made. A big reason for our popularity is our food. We have a variety of dishes in different styles, from steaks to Gumbos but there's no one else quite does fish like we do. In fact, the Yardarm is where the local fisherman go to eat. We even serve forgotten traditional favorites like Cod Cheeks. Then more come in for the friendly service. Everyone from the owners down to the wait staff has made it their utmost priority to serve you well, and you'll definitely notice the smiles on our faces and attention to detail as you slowly realize like you're dining at a friend's place. There's no where else quite like the Yardarm!

We had dinner at The Yardarm on a Thursday evening in mid September, after the summer crowds had departed. We had stopped in for a drink around 3:30 in the afternoon. The kitchen closes from 4 to 5, and they do not take reservations, but we were told that if we called just before we were to arrive, they would... More

We just discovered the Yardarm in Orleans and had an excellent experience. My parents and I arrived during a busy lunch time, but the hostess Patty F. took special care to seat us quickly and was especially attentive throughout our meal. My father had the spinach salad and a Guinness, my mother had the crispy chicken roll up and I... More

We have been going to Orleans for 30+years and have appreciated the Yardarm. Back in the day it was mainly a place to go for a beer but the food in recent years is now a major draw. The bar is still there, cramped with locals and the food is typical pub fare but very well done. The waitstaff are... More

We had an outstanding time here, so much so that we actually ate there two nights while we were on the cape. Service is exemplary and the food is fresh and tastes great. The fish was so flaky it fell off my fork when I tried to pick it up and the breading is minimal so it doesn't overpower the... More

6 of us called to let then know when we were coming in for dinner. it's a small, noisy place, but fun! Food was served in appropriate time frame and was quite good. I had a Montreal flat iron steak, a bit on the overcooked side, and sporadic sections of the Montreal seasoning. others at our table enjoyed thier meals... More

My husband and I went to the Yardarm after checking out the reviews on Trip Advisor. I am very confused by its high rating. I don't see myself as being a tough critic and kept looking for those positive things to happen! Our experience was that when we arrived the hostess took my name and said it would be about... More

Went here with my family for dinner while on vacation. Food suggestions: Scallops Nantucket - plenty of large sea scallops cooked with pepperjack cheese and bacon Fishermans Platter - huge variety at the best price around Clam strips - cheap price, high quality, and delicious This is a cute little place (very little). Not many tables but it is worth... More

The Yardarm is a tradition in our family! Every year we look forward to going to the cape, to sit on Nauset Beach, and get great food from our favorite place.... The Yardarm! The atmosphere is fun and friendly, the servers treat us like family, and the food is always excellent! Thanks again Yardarm for being our "go to spot"... More

Every time we visit Orleans, we head to the Yardarm first. The atmosphere is that of a local hangout, the food is yummy and the price is right. This time, we had the chicken piccata over linguine, the knockwurst and the stuffed shell special - all were delicious. Desserts are also good - excellent key lime pie and the brownie... More

We went to the Yardarm looking forward to a good meal. We were very disappointed in some parts of the meal. My husband had the baked onion soup which was excellent. The fried oysters were good. The tossed salad was okay. The french fries were horrible. They tasted hard and if they had been reheated. The slaw was sent back... More

Thank you for taking the time to speak up about your experience. It's a shame to hear that we left you disappointed, and I'll be taking your feedback up with the rest of the team. I know you mentioned that you don't plan on returning, but we would truly appreciate another chance to impress you. Sincerely, Best, John More
