Description: The Yardarm Restaurant is a small place with a big imprint. In the last decades we've prided ourselves on being the go-to meeting spot for locals in Orleans. On any given day, you'll find townsfolk like fisherman, physicians and plumbers all sharing stories over drinks or watching the Patriots. The Yardarm is a place where friends meet and where new friends are made. A big reason for our popularity is our food. We have a variety of dishes in different styles, from steaks to Gumbos but there's no one else quite does fish like we do. In fact, the Yardarm is where the local fisherman go to eat. We even serve forgotten traditional favorites like Cod Cheeks. Then more come in for the friendly service. Everyone from the owners down to the wait staff has made it their utmost priority to serve you well, and you'll definitely notice the smiles on our faces and attention to detail as you slowly realize like you're dining at a friend's place. There's no where else quite like the Yardarm!

Stopped in for lunch on the way back from P-Town. It's a small place, so I suspect it can get crowded during peak times. We stopped there for lunch on a Monday and it was fair empty. The food arrived quickly and was very good. We all had seafood of some sort and all were very pleased with the quality... More

I can remember when the Yardarm first opened - in the early Seventies. The peer reviews at the time were along the lines of "well, it's somewhere else (besides the Ho) to go." Later peer reviews were more complimentary, but not by anyone in whom you'd place any great culinary confidence. So, in the four decades and change since the... More

Recommended as the best place to eat by friends from East Ham ( not Eastum) the bar was full of locals as well as people waiting to eat. Very efficient and friendly bar staff. Our half-hour wait flew by with friendly conversation, almost hated to sit down. Waitress Ruby was delightful and very competent. Be sure to check chalkboard specials,... More

The Yardarm is lively pub & restaurant. It was busy when we visited, but that added to the atmosphere for us. Good choice of veggie options for my partner. I ordered the lobster ravioli from the specials board and was not disappointed! Attentive service and food was well-priced.

Struggled to find somewhere to eat on a Sunday in September. This place was recommended in a couple of guides to Cape Cod, but I wouldn't bother eating there again. Everything was hot and we didn't die, but it was a bit scruffy and basic. Had to ask to find a table away from the TV/football to have lunch.

We had dinner at The Yardarm on a Thursday evening in mid September, after the summer crowds had departed. We had stopped in for a drink around 3:30 in the afternoon. The kitchen closes from 4 to 5, and they do not take reservations, but we were told that if we called just before we were to arrive, they would... More

We just discovered the Yardarm in Orleans and had an excellent experience. My parents and I arrived during a busy lunch time, but the hostess Patty F. took special care to seat us quickly and was especially attentive throughout our meal. My father had the spinach salad and a Guinness, my mother had the crispy chicken roll up and I... More

Hearing that we've become on of your go-to restaurants really means a lot, and it's great to hear that you had a nice time while you were in. Of course, you can never go wrong with the Chocolate Cheesecake -- I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing you again soon. Best, John More

We have been going to Orleans for 30+years and have appreciated the Yardarm. Back in the day it was mainly a place to go for a beer but the food in recent years is now a major draw. The bar is still there, cramped with locals and the food is typical pub fare but very well done. The waitstaff are... More

We had an outstanding time here, so much so that we actually ate there two nights while we were on the cape. Service is exemplary and the food is fresh and tastes great. The fish was so flaky it fell off my fork when I tried to pick it up and the breading is minimal so it doesn't overpower the... More

6 of us called to let then know when we were coming in for dinner. it's a small, noisy place, but fun! Food was served in appropriate time frame and was quite good. I had a Montreal flat iron steak, a bit on the overcooked side, and sporadic sections of the Montreal seasoning. others at our table enjoyed thier meals... More

I'm glad you enjoyed the your time with us, and it's nice to hear that the service was on-point. I'm sorry to hear that your steak was a bit overcooked, but I hope you'll return and give us a chance to get it just right the next time you pop in. Best, John More
