After a little shopping on a very rainy day we decided we would try Slice of Life for lunch. We were delighted by the fresh food we ate. I had the slice salad, Which was a delicious and good portions The special was a black bean chili which was really good, had a nice little kick to it. My husband... More

I will start with, I do not know Martha's Vineyard or Oak Bluffs well - I went here based on reviews, but found it quite disappointing. My burger was dry and overcooked, and my girlfriends shrimp pasta dish was watery and lacking flavor. The bill came to over $50 in the end, and I didn't feel right spending that on... More

I didn't care for the burger I ordered, i know i said well done but it tasted kinda burnt. The bun even had a lil scorched taste as well. Not calling it off altogether, the cook coulda had an off nite... Truffles fries were great tho...I'm going go back try something else see what happens...

This was our second visit to Slice of Life within a year. Both times for dinner. Party of four. One had roasted cod, another had a pasta dish and two had the Slice burger. Overall our impression was the quality has regressed slightly. We were seated on the enclosed front porch room. The dining room is very small and as... More

Sat on the porch and enjoyed sandwiches...pan seared tuna...roast beef....that exploded with taste. Quiet, lovely late evening meal in off-season September.

Ate there one evening when it wasn't crazy busy and had a wonderful meal. Tasty pizza and yummy salad. Since we'd had a big meal early in the day, our meal at the Slice was just enough. Only negative is the tables are tiny and everyone is very close. I like a bit of privacy and room. Oh well, space... More

Slice of Life is consistently good. It is open year round and frequented by locals as well as summer visitors. It is very small and really has no atmosphere to speak of but the food makes it worth it. Prices are reasonable and I probably have tried everything on the menu and love them all from the Burgers to the... More

This is a casual restaurant that seems to do everything it does with care and thought. The service is helpful. The fried green tomato sandwich lived up to the hype and, in my opinion, is better than its cousin at State Road (served only at Sunday brunch, and q.v.) The tomato is tasty, the rosemary bread, toasted is good, the... More

The Slice is small at up end of Oak Bluffs by Union Chapel & The Oak Bluffs Inn. But great food and service. On street porch and quick service.
