Slice of Life is consistently good. It is open year round and frequented by locals as well as summer visitors. It is very small and really has no atmosphere to speak of but the food makes it worth it. Prices are reasonable and I probably have tried everything on the menu and love them all from the Burgers to the... More

This is a casual restaurant that seems to do everything it does with care and thought. The service is helpful. The fried green tomato sandwich lived up to the hype and, in my opinion, is better than its cousin at State Road (served only at Sunday brunch, and q.v.) The tomato is tasty, the rosemary bread, toasted is good, the... More

The Slice is small at up end of Oak Bluffs by Union Chapel & The Oak Bluffs Inn. But great food and service. On street porch and quick service.

We were looking around for a place to eat, and just walking into this place sells it, as the smell of bacon hits you as soon as you walk in. I had the green tomato BLT. It was good, though perhaps a bit overrated from the reviews. I'm from the South, so I know my way around some fried green... More

Twenty minute wait to be seated but it was worth it! Great menu with lots of healthy food choices, friendly staff and home-like atmosphere. Don't miss dessert if you have room, especially the creme brulee.

Very good for lunch. Daily specials. Excellent salads and turkey reuben sandwich is outstanding. service is good. No reservations so may have to wait for a table, but worth it. Ask for a table on the porch for a street view. Great chocolate chip cookies.

The food and service are very good. Healthy salads, good sandwiches. I think that the coffee is good also but I didn't try it. I recommend the Salmon Asian Salad, Reuben, and Slice Salad. Tried all 3 and they were uniformly excellent. Martha's Vineyard is expensive everywhere and this food is good-excellent and on the cheaper side for the area.

My husband and I had dinner here last night. There was no wait to for a table and they do not take reservations. We had the zuchinni fritters as an appetizer, which were very good. I had the fried green tomato sandwich and he had the pistashio chicken. My sandwich was good, but it was a lot of bread. My... More
