It was ok

Not something that I'd have to have all the time, average ice.cream. I'm not sure what the big deal is about this place. They only take cash, so make sure you have some on you.

Although this place will always be special to me due to childhood memories, as an adult I can see it's nothing special. Portions are large, but smaller than Ben and Bill's. Hats for sale were all crushed and in terrible condition. Much less allergy friendly than Ben and Bill's. Sadly, after 37 years, it's no longer my favorite ice cream... More

Good ice cream and a nice place to relax on a summer afternoon. The blueberry was yummy. Large portions.

Lots of selection, amazing ice cream cookie sandwiches, and enough room to bring in a stroller unlike another ice cream place (nothing worse than waking up a sleeping baby!). Been consistently delicious since I was a young child. Can't go wrong with Mad Martha's!

The best ice cream !... I had a generous scoop of "butter crunch" on a sugar comb = heaven. I didn't go anywhere else. I could have had ice cream every night... I had to control myself!

From online research and friends who are Island residents, we were told that Mad Martha's was the best scoop shop on the island. First, their favors were limited and had vague names with no explanation. (For example, one flavor called "Sinful Chocolate" had nothing saying it contained Heath Bar, if anything, it looked more like peanut). Even so, Heath Bar... More

So many people spoke highly of this ice cream parlor, but I found it to be dead average. The flavors were barely discernable despite the base being creamy. But it was really overpriced for what you get in my opinion. A small cone with some walnuts on the side was over $6!

Coming from health-conscious NJ, I forgot how delicious full-fat ice cream is. The blueberry and peppermint were my favorites; they do have fro-yo, but go for the ice cream- it's worth it!

We were three generations visiting Mad Martha's. I had the chocolate almond chip special of the week ice cream. It was excellent. The others in our party had cones and sundaes. Service was on the slow side, the prices were what we considered high, over four dollars for a single scoop ice cream cone. The whipped cream seemed to come... More

Loved it all around - great choices for flavors, delicious ice cream, friendly staff. This is quintessential small town Ice cream shop, right down to the jukebox in the corner turning out classic tunes. I had a sugar cone of strawberry (my classic litmus test) and the team from Mad Martha's delivered - big chunks of strawberry, creamy, rich texture,... More
