My first and short visit to dine by myself and wanted something else intend of sea food. Got a lot of average chicken, with huge amount of potato mash and some spinach with creme. Was not hungry afterwards but the taste was not worth the price- about 24 dollars. Nice place to drink and dine with friends, I assume. Friendly... More

Atmosphere unusual. Every nook is a different experience. The service was timely and unobtrusive (thank you, Ben). The onion rings were excellent. The pork shank and fried Brussels sprouts were wonderful, as were the cheese grits. I had the sworffish with white bean cassoulet. The drinks from th bar, great. On mange bien.

We had read great things about Red Cat and it was very good, but not as great as the reviews. the salmon tartar was more salad than salmon. The brussel sprouts were fantastic, definitely worth ordering. My swordfish was good, a bit overcooked, and something I could have easily cooked at home. My husband's bonita was a bit fishy from... Had a good meal at the restaurant, although in September they didn't have everything that was on the menu. But what we had was very good, and the service was very attentive.

I may be biased, this is one of the best eat joints on Martha's Vineyard. Ben DeForest is a very talented Chef, and puts his whole heart into his menu. Must have list: onion rings, brussel sprouts, fried chicken, any dessert and the East Chop lemonade cocktail is so delicious!! I lvoe this place, hands down one of my favorite... More

Food very good, make reservations and early ones as they run out of some of their menu options, and where only a few to begin with, you don't want to be disappointed. Hostess/wait staff comes across a bit snobby, like you should be grateful to have gotten a reservation. Would recommend you try to go while on MV

Tried to walk in on a Monday night in September and they were full, so we made a reservation and went back on Wednesday. Glad we did. The place is a little bit cramped but the food is outstanding. Service was not bad, not great. The corn soup was to die for, fried chicken and steak terrific. The tater tots... More

I have waited all summer long to try this restaurant that patrons have told me was "the best on the Island." Finally, after the crowds thinned I got a reservation on Saturday evening which was our 29th wedding anniversary. No place is perfect, so let me start out by saying that the atmosphere is nothing to rave about, tables are... More

We spend part of each summer on Martha's Vineyard, so we tend to gravitate towards our traditional restaurants. However, when I saw the reviews for the Red Cat Kitchen, I had to give it a try- SO glad we did! The owners and staff are friendly; the food is excellent- and the environment is casual and fun. Make sure you... More
