Dreaming of Summer

Hands down the best meal I had last summer. We all have them, those stand out meals that are so good, you find your self thinking about them over and over again. Today, on this frigid day in January I find myself doing just that, dreaming about the Island Fresca, a corn, tomato, and basil soup that... read more

Ate at the Red Cat the prior year and loved it. So this year when I cam back to MV for a mother/daughter trip, I knew I had to bring my mom here. I told her about the chef's tasting menu and wanted to see if she would be into it. She jumped on board. Four courses later, we were... More

Went here for my husband's birthday. The food was AMAZING. They change their dinner menu daily which is difficult for me to plan since I have a shellfish allergy. I really wanted steak, they had a surf and turf option and were very accommodating. They removed the lobster and reduced the price. Also we sat by the kitchen and watched... More

This is an old house converted in to a restaurant in one of the best and busiest parts of town. It's a bit crowded and more than a bit loud (in a good way). The food was wonderful and the service was friendly and attentive. All round fun time and great experience. This is NOT for you if you like... More

Oh, and everything else was amazing too. The atmosphere is just perfect for a beach community, but not tacky, the staff was very cordial and helpful throughout the meal (even greeted us with a free prosecco aperitif as it was our anniversary). My scallops (Big *** Scallops) were the best I've ever eaten and the risotto they were served on... More

Our place never disappoints! Fantastic cranberry margaritas, tempora green beans and crispy brussle sprouts.... I loved my steak, asparagus and whipped potatoes to the point of wiping the plate clean. I can't wait to go back next year, my bucket list item to try is a tasting course. Ben does amazing things and keeps a fabulous staff.

A cozy artsy spot! Started with the sprouts appetizer which was salty and went perfect with my beer. Followed with the tasting menu which consisted of 3 different courses created by whim of the chef. A buttery corn based soup course, a Steak tartar course, ending with a fish course. Expensive and worth it. Reservations are a must.

Dinner for five on a Friday night was wonderful. Varied menu with unusual but tasty presentations and engagingly raucous environment. I regret not completing the details of this review a month ago when we were there, but the overall glow persists. We will surely go there for dinner again at our next visit. You should as well.
