Delicious Tingmo and Ice cream

The food here is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxing. There are some unusual items on the menu like Yak but the red bean and green tea ice cream is to die for. I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough. The food is so fresh and hearty.

I worry when I see a restaurant that's typically not filled....but I went in anyway. I tend to like exotic food and thought I'd give the Yak dumplings a try. That was a mistake. I did a variety of their dumplings and they were average at best. (I won't do Yak again- odd taste). The wait staff wasn't particularly warm... More

Love this place! There is an extensive vegetarian menu with a lot of options! We are slowly working our way through the whole menu, and have never been disappointed by any dish. The atmosphere is always very calm and laid back, and the waitstaff is incredible! We travel to Northampton regularly just for this restaurant!

Even if your Mom is not Tibetan, the authenticity of this place inspires. Quiet, cozy, welcoming...get the pork buns. They'll remind you of home.

It's small. The feel is like your average Chinese take-out place. The menu is not. There are many Yak dishes to choose from and Veggie Girl had options in every section of the menu (plus her own section). We had the Spring Rolls, excellent, two of the soups, again excellent. Nessa had dumplings and I had the Yak item #1.... More

We only tried the vegetarian dishes and they were tasty and flavorful. The portions are more than adequate and sharing is a good idea so you can try more variety. The piece de resistance for me was the hot, pink, Salish, buttery Tibetan tea. Yummy

Lhasa cafe is way overpriced, it will set you back minimum $12 dumplings, which is basically unheard of in a truly authentic restaurant. The food was bland, and all dishes were in the same sauce, lacking flavor and spice. Food took forever to come. After traveling throughout Asia and coming back to the USA recently, there are much better Asian... More

(No, the yak are not IN the Pioneer Valley, but they're on the menu.) I've been to Tibet, and this food is right up there with what I enjoyed in the Himalayas. Lovely hosts, good food.

We went to Lhasa Cafe as a family in June, 2015. We enjoyed the variety of food, priced well. Very important to us, our son found something he liked and we did also. They were careful to allow us to put our son's order in first. The Tibetan tea was very enjoyable also.
