Great stop for brunch/lunch in Northampton

Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and wished this place were closer to home. Excellent grits with jalapeños, bacon, cheese and fried eggs on top - real comfort food. If back in Northampton, we will surely return!

Northampton would be lost without Jake's. They have a new hash-a-day amongst their other delicious breakfast items. It is a bit crowded sometimes, but worth the wait. If you're looking for a side of fresh fruit with variety or some homemade jam to add to your breakfast plate, this is the place to go! The atmosphere is inviting as well,... More

OK, it was a Saturday and we had to wait. But, the sun was shining, the other people waiting were fun and some things are worth waiting for. Best French toast ever! Too often French toast tastes like everything that had been on the grill before. Not here. The wait staff was also welcoming, informative and generous. Sure we live... More

Jake's is everything you want in a breakfast spot: Welcoming staff, hot, regularly-refilled coffee, and delicious, fresh homemade food. We have been here several times, with our kids, and have never walked away anything but totally satisfied. Their homefries are so good and a perfect complement to their omelets and homemade bread. Our son's favorite is to get one giant... More

My husband and I went here a few months back for breakfast. Small little place but had great food and service. I got the "downtown" and thought it was enough food. My husband got the breakfast burrito and loved it.

Love to have breakfast or lunch here. Food is fresh, tasty and beautiful on the plate. Usually a wait on weekends, but worth it. Rustic atmosphere, the chairs are not particularly comfortable, but coffee is good and staff is friendly.

My friend and I visited the spring bulb show at Smith College--really lovely--and decided to have lunch at Jake's. I had a Cuban sandwich, which was quite tasty, and my friend had a good salad with grilled chicken. It was difficult to sit at the table without bumping into the person behind us and the noise level was very high.... More

On a first trip to the area we asked locals for a breakfast recommendation, and Jake's was the unanimous choice in our non-representative sample. While our first time in a "Hash House", the food was great, service charming with a little attitude, and great prices. I would recommend to anyone, but when we left at 10AM on a Saturday morning,... they use local and fresh ingredients. It's a small place, and very busy. Food is great. I was pleasantly surprised how reasonable my meal was. You can breakfast all day.

We arrived at 10 am, the place was full, but we waited only 10 min.s for a table for 3. The pancakes were huge and fluffy, with apple slices in them. An eggs-benedict type dish with pork bellly was disappointing since the pork belly was greasy and soft instead of crispy. The home fries and chicken hash were great with... More
