Be prepared for an experience. A fun place for those who relish the off-beat and like finding unique places rather than dining at chain restaurants. Surprisingly good food. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 50 years but tastes like one of the best pizza places in the area. This place is not for clean freaks. It’s a pizza "joint"... more

The staff know the menu and they know the regulars - and there are many, many, many regulars. The menu is the best deal in town, and the atmosphere possibly the most...original...in town. It would be retro, except that implies that it's ever been anything else. Some others here call it a dump, which I think implies that it is... more

This is by far the biggest dive I have ever eaten in, with undoubtedly the best pizza I've ever enjoyed. On a Saturday night the place was full of regulars, all eager to share their favorites with us. By the time we had one beer the waitress found a table and and my boyfriend and I had developed a strategy... more

I've been going to Joe's for pizza for 35 years. It rocks. I can't remember when I last had something else there except for a sald--which is great. Salad has crisp lettuce, generous size, not what you'd expect from a bar setting. The atmosphere is great and it hasn't change in all those years except for more televisions. If you're... more

Ordered their "famous" spaghetti (w/meat sauce). Overcooked pasta, topped with watery sauce, topped with chunks of tasteless ground beef (not even blended in the sauce). No bread or salad w/the cheaper pastas, unless ordered at additional cost, which would create a "no bargain" situation. Service "hit and run". Decor....weird, dark and dusty. Some miniscule anti-rooms (2-3 tables crunched together) off... more

I just went to Joe's tonight for the first time; it was quite refreshing--good, inexpensive food in an unpretentious atmosphere, which is why it is probably so popular in a town full of restaurants that are "full" of themselves. We tried the warm spinach salad and the linguica pizza--I would highly recommend both. The salad was fresh and plentiful with... more

Packed to the gills on a weekend or game night, feel the buzz of the crowd in this dark, dingy, but totally authentic and delicious restaurant/bar. Pizza is perfect, veal parm will never let you down. Spag. and meat balls is the absolute best. Okay, in fairness, they do sometimes over-cook the pasta, but the sauce and meat makesup for... more

The pizza is the best thin crust i have had. The house special pizza is just the right combination of toppings. more

You'd never think by the looks of it that Joe's Cafe has some of the best Italian food in the Valley. Don't come for the atmosphere or the decor, but definitely come for the pizza. Wide selection of fabulous pies and great Chicken Parmesan. Weeknights have great specials, like Wednesday's Spaghetti and Meatballs for $6. Dinnertime gets crowded, especially on... more
