Fabulous Italian Food on the Outer Cape

Wonderful homemade pasta dishes, best Caesar salad, fabulous Italian entrees - try the crab-crusted salmon!. Large portions - you'll take some home. Fair prices, great value. Open all year - warm environment.

We came to Montano's based on the reviews that we had seen online. Maybe we're just used to better Italian cuisine, but the food we had here was downright disappointing and expensive for what it was. My husband had chicken piccata which was unattractively presented and tasted just like it looked. I had the butternut squash ravioli which was ok,... More

Food was delicious but a bit pricey. Think they take advantage of being open in an isolated area. Pasta was homemade but had just about no flavor. We had an outstanding server but I paid $25 for a moderately sized, delicious, scallop picatta that came with nothing else but bread. However, gaining access to the building in a wheelchair was... My husband and I were celebrating our ten year anniversary in North Truro. We asked for a restaurant recommendation from a local coffee shop and she suggested Montano's in North Truro. My husband is extremely picky when it comes to Italian food so I was worried. We ordered salads I had the Cesar he had the house. Excellent. Fresh and... More

Although I've previously enjoyed dining here, this is my first time reviewing Montano's. In most probability because I always feel like "famiglia" here, I've taken it for granted. Chef Montano offers all the "Traditional Italian Favorites" from Arancini to Veal Saltimbocca. Of particular note he also makes his own fresh pastas. We started the evening with a round of cocktails.... More

After many years, our family of 7 revisited this restaurant and we were delighted to find that its interior had been nicely updated. During the 2015 Wellfleet Oyster Fest weekend many other patrons also found this restaurant as there was a small waiting line at the door but it moved quickly. Upon being seated our waitress took our drink orders... More

This restaurant has terrific HOMEMADE Italian food. Not big on decor, but pleasant with hardwood floors. But who cares with food like this?? I had the Butternut Squash Ravioli in sage butter. Obviously homemade as each ravioli was not exactly the same size. Decent amount of food, but not so much you'll be taking any home. Best I've had. My... More

Went two nights in a row. Frutti de Mare was ok, gnocchi was much better. Scallop picatta was really good.

Food was excellent....once we were served. Our server was very sweet, but it took over 20 minutes of waiting to even order a drink; close to an hour before we finally got served. It was not particularly busy and there seemed to be plenty of staff, so we're not sure why we waited so very long. We came very close... More
