You will be glad you stopped

We've driven by this great place many times on the way into Provincetown, but this time be stopped for dinner. We will stop again for sure. They provide a nice sized meal which was delicious. There were 4 of us that dined at Maontano's on a Thurday night. It was busy but no wait to be seated. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She brought us bread that was warm and we dipped it with olive oil. We have the steamed little neck clams and the calamari special with peppers for appertizer. For entree we... More

We had driven passed this restaurant for years before we went in. It looked like an old style, "red gravy" Italian restaurant, the kind I grew up on in Brooklyn. The fact that it had a large crowd early also kept us away (I guess we're getting a little snobbish). Well we went in last year and had an Italian... More

Get there early. No reservations taken. The place is very comfortable plenty of elbow room and that's a good thing! We had pasta which was homemade and delicious. My wife's eggplant was lightly fried and the sauce was perfect. We had some time constraints so desert was not an option but we plan on coming back next year when we... More

For the area my family and I were sitting in, there was only one waitress. I am also guessing that there was only one chef since it was little less than an hour before we actually got our entrées. The waitress was very nice and could strike up a conversation easily. We did not eat dessert there but there is... More

Any restaurant that has wild boar ragu on it's menu has to be stretching themselves. Montana's stretches and reaches that limit. The homemade pasta was excellent and the ragu was full of flavor. My wife had rigatoni with chicken in a vodka cream sauce that was equally as good. Her salad came with a "great" house Italian dressing. My Caesar... More

Our latest visit over the past few years reinforced our view that this is the best restaurant on the Outer Cape. Many many choices, all mouth watering. Had the Prime Ribs which couldn't have been any tastier. Large serving that melted in your mouth. My wife had the stuffed flounder, another great choice. But the best was the first, an... More

I hesitate to write a review since I have long since written this North Truro mainstay. After years and bad sauce and limp pasta, we did better almost everywhere else. However, the tide in cape cod bay may be turning. A family member recently gave Montano's an improved review so I took a shot on the pizza. We were shocked... More

We took out from Montano's on our first night in town and were very pleased with our food (veal parmigiana and shrimp parmigiana). Ordered out a second time with a marguerita pizza. Again, very pleased.

We really enjoyed the food and service! Very well done on all levels. The Espresso Martini was delicious to start.
