Good & Messy

I dont know the the New England's fascination with hot roast beef sandwiches, but this place brings them to tears of joy. My step daughter would devour their largest sami like a Raptor on a cow. If you come, bring a squeegee and a bucket of hot water, the dam things are messy. Oh, I did love their... read more

I love the food at this place... Order 5 sandwiches every time we go. Super Beef with Sauce and Cheese, Large Fries, and a drink. YUMMY !!! The place can use a little updating, the tables are always sticky, the chairs are a little uncomfortable, the carpet needs to be replaced... Don't let any of this keep you away as... More

I've been hitting this place since they were Riley's in South Lawrence back in the 1970s/1980's, and it's the same sandwich. I think it's great that over the past few years, they've made the move to credit cards, but it's just great comfort chow. The roast beef is great, but the hidden gem on the menu is their chicken cutlet,... More

Like another guy said, nothing special and it's been there 20 years now. Building is very plain, service indifferent, just some guys. Roast beef OK tho it should be better for $7.80 for a large. Fries just OK. They have a pretty good sandwich/burger menu so maybe there's something better. Burger King is a mile away on 133 at 114.... More

If you like roast beef, french fries, onion rings, etc, you can't go wrongs at Harrison's. You go there for the roast beef ;not for the ambiance. It has a loyal following and has been around for at least thirty years. Here is a true story. My 16year old son studied in Spain for nine months. We picked him up... More

While on our way to a Hockey game we decided to try Harrison's- When we arrived and I informed the counter person that this was our first time he didn't offer any tips- My sister's family ordered 1st- they enjoyed their food, but would have ordered a larger portion if the staff would have given them a recommendation.- My husband... Figured that this place must be great, given that it's been at this location for so many years. We wandered in for a Saturday lunch and I still am wondering how it's managed to stay in business for so long. I guess maybe my expectations for a great roast beef sandwich might have been a bit high, but when you... More

Most roast beef places call themselves "famous" in their store name. Harrison's doesn't need to because it's the best roast beef out there. Line it up against anyone like Kelly's, Chick's, or a sub shop. Nothing else compares to Harrison's as it's simply THE BEST! Cooked to perfection and always consistent. You don't go in there some days and get... More

I love to go out and enjoy good times with good friends. Harrisons is one of my favorite places, and I must say that I cannot remember a time that i have been disappointed. I only have beef a few times a week, and when I want a real treat, Harrisons always comes to mind. My friends and I get... More
