I'm not a big fish lover but went with a work group. I went with un conventional fish and chips so I could experience some local fish. The special potatoes on it were great but the fish was heavily battered, greasy and hard to taste with the spicy sauce on it. Hard to get a refill on water. Meh.

Our party of four ordered appetizers, which came late as our order got lost. But to their credit, the manager apologized and deleted them from our bill. We were seated at a table with only 3 settings, but the waitress said she would get a fourth. She didn't and we had to ask twice to get it. Each of us... More

We enjoyed a casual supper here on a whim. Next time we'll sit at the bar for fun, though our server was very nice. The clam chowder and lobster bisque were worth the trip. Fish 'n chips and fried clams appetizer were hot, light, crunchy and yummy. Just right! Casual atmosphere. We'll go again.

We went here for a business dinner, and it turned out to be a good choice. Everyone enjoyed the food, and the service was good. I ordered a medium lobster roll, and it was plenty big! No need to order a large one.

As long-standing, devoted customers of Joe Fish, we had become somewhat disenchanted with the North Andover location after they opened in North Reading as the kitchen had become slow and the meals lacked excitement. Jay was no longer onsite to oversee the kitchen, which we felt explained waiting 45 minutes for dinner to make it to the table on two... More

Away on business, I wanted some quality fish and was recommended to go check out Joe Fish. I had Joe's Bouillabaisse (fresh locally caught redfish (ocean perch), shrimp, mussels and clams in a saffron-infused broth with roasted tomatoes, fennel, leeks and shallots. Served with garlic toast points); also served with fresh warm rolls that were just great for enjoying the... More

I have never been disappointed in a meal at Joe Fish. They now have another location in North Reading which is much bigger. The meals are a little pricey, but the quality and portions make up for that. The wait staff have always been accomodating, although on occasion, not as knowledgable about the menu as I would expect. I will... More

Seriously, this is by one of the best food I had so far. We had the lobster stew, fresh oysters, seafood stew, and scallops. It's very good tasting, especially the lobster stew. You have to try it to believe it.

I have eaten here maybe 5 times over the last 10 years because apparently I keep forgetting was a disappointment it always is. The food quality and taste do not reflect in the price you pay for your entrees. I have had steak, seafood, salad, etc. and none of them were standouts. Sorry, spend your money somewhere else if you're... More
