As long-standing, devoted customers of Joe Fish, we had become somewhat disenchanted with the North Andover location after they opened in North Reading as the kitchen had become slow and the meals lacked excitement. Jay was no longer onsite to oversee the kitchen, which we felt explained waiting 45 minutes for dinner to make it to the table on two... More

Away on business, I wanted some quality fish and was recommended to go check out Joe Fish. I had Joe's Bouillabaisse (fresh locally caught redfish (ocean perch), shrimp, mussels and clams in a saffron-infused broth with roasted tomatoes, fennel, leeks and shallots. Served with garlic toast points); also served with fresh warm rolls that were just great for enjoying the... More

I have never been disappointed in a meal at Joe Fish. They now have another location in North Reading which is much bigger. The meals are a little pricey, but the quality and portions make up for that. The wait staff have always been accomodating, although on occasion, not as knowledgable about the menu as I would expect. I will... More

Seriously, this is by one of the best food I had so far. We had the lobster stew, fresh oysters, seafood stew, and scallops. It's very good tasting, especially the lobster stew. You have to try it to believe it.

I have eaten here maybe 5 times over the last 10 years because apparently I keep forgetting was a disappointment it always is. The food quality and taste do not reflect in the price you pay for your entrees. I have had steak, seafood, salad, etc. and none of them were standouts. Sorry, spend your money somewhere else if you're... More

After my girlfriend couldn't eat her purported fillet mignon( which was somehow two small tips rather than zen actual fillet) be use one tip tasted literally like lighter fluid, the Waitress said the chef would take 10 dollars off the 30 or so dollar entree. Big deal! It should have been deducted entirely from the tab. My salmon was good,... More

Joe's Fish is not a restaurant that caters to every eater. They do not have anything available that is for Vegans or Vegetarians or those watching their carbohydrate intake. I went there with a few friends and found there was nothing for me to eat, except vegetables, which is fine with me, except the chef does not know how to... More

The food was not good. There was a funny smell to the place. It was not as clean as could be wished. The service was good. I would not eat here again. And the photo is of Old Town Hall in a nearby town--Andover MA--not of this restaurant.

If seafood is your thing, this is the place to go. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who seated us and informed us how good some of the entrees are. She was helpful. The service seemed a little slow but was worth the wait. The grilled Haddock was outstanding. But there are many many choices.
