Food selection makes exceptional seafood dinner at good value

Joe Fish offers exceptional fresh seafood in a casual atmosphere. Dropped in on Tuesday night, which was $1 oyster night. The oysters, served in a dish of ice, were very fresh and delicious. They were so good that I order another plate of oysters later in lieu of dessert. The fish and chips... read more

"Special" halibut dish was flavorful and the veggies, rice and sauce were great BUT the halibut was mushy (problems with freshness and/or preparation?). Then the shocker was the price. Sitting at the bar the service was what you expect, i.e. not much but OK and acceptable.

Pricey, but few seafood restaurants in New England aren't. Here for a birthday dinner. For starters, we shared a lobster guacamole special (good twist on the usual chips and guac) and half dozen oysters on the half shell ($1 oysters on Tuesdays). We had fish tacos, expertly assembled, with beans and rice on the side. Filling and delicious. Didn't have... More

We had 22 people for a surprise b-day party and it went off without a hitch. Once everyone showed up we all sat down. We had 2 waitresses and a bunch of needy guests. The waitresses Molly and Laurie were amazing. The hostess Hannah actually came over a couple times to ask on some of the guests. The food came... More

The food is good, but not $60. plus tip good for 2 plates of fried haddock w/ fries, cole slaw and two ice teas and one dessert! Oh and one dinner roll each! (They ration out the rolls) Head across the street to fish market (which has a few tables inside) and get the same exact meals for 1/3 of... More

Wicked friendly and knowledgeable staff! Had their Lobsta Tacos which were amazing. Make sure you order a Finn Juice. The Crab Rangoon dip was out of this world as well. Good vibe all around. Their slogan "Best Fish in Town, No Bones About it" is absolutely correct.

We have dined here many times and they don't disappoint. All the entrees we have tried are fresh and delicious. The salmon and haddock are two of the best. I have tried the Portuguese chowder and get it every time I'm there. A must try.

Joe Fish is close to my home so I've been there a lot over the years. For a seafood restaurant in the suburbs, you won't get any better than this. Nice selection of high quality seafood, prepared well. Prices are a little steep but not unreasonable. Ambiance of dining room is cozy, relaxed, a bit festive. Only dined downstairs once... More

Food is usually pretty good. Selection is excellent. Atmosphere is perfect. Decorations are warm and interesting. Price is a little expensive. About $40 per person including a glass of wine. Lobster is overpriced. Service is OK, but could easily be improved. Parking is easy. Call ahead for reservations.
