Do not miss this Noth Adams eatery. Small, not fancy, limited seating. Great hotdogs, price point $. Eat in or take out you will not be dissapointed.
I can't really add any more than has already been said by others. Some corrections I would make 1.) the dogs are not tiny. There is a tradition of tiny hotdogs in the area and Jacks are not them, 2.) they are not the best dogs ever. If somebody thinks that, it is sad. 3.) the place is so small... More
I've been eating in Jack's since my dad took me there when I was too small to climb up on the stool. I take a trip there every time I find myself within an hours drive of North Adams. I've yet to find a place to compare it to.
This is your typical "local" place. There was 8 of us taking up most of the 12 seats n the place & it cost less than $25.00! We LOVE this place. The grands all insist on going to Jack's!
Great burgers on steamed buns! It was like stepping back in time. We couldn't believe they're still charging 1950s prices there! Great guys behind the counter.
If you are from North Adams you know that Jacks is a special place. At Jacks you will see your food being made right in front of you. You will sit elbow to elbow with the guy sitting next to you. You my have to stand in line to wait for a seat. But you won't ever find another place... More
Tiny, delicious hotdogs on the cheap and classic, atmosphere galore. Jacks is a magic little, hole in the wall time machine with fun and funny service. Watch the buns steam as you gaze through the haze out the window. You wont find anything fancy here, just all-American lunch done crazy right.
No frills, no fuss. Burgers (or "hamburgs," as they're called in the Berkshires) and dogs, wrapped in foil. Cheap and delicious eats keep the locals coming back. Old-school sass and charm.
Jack's Hot Dog Stand is a tiny 'hole in the wall' located in downtown North Adams that serves hot dogs, burgers, fries and more, all cooked before your eyes. I really like the food served at Jack's but I must admit that I love watching the cooks and waitstaff as they quickly and efficiently cook, serve, clean up, take phone... More
DON'T EAT AT JACK'S.....That is if you don't want to experience a real "working mans" diner, a piece of history. The hotdogs come in steamed buns. Try one with mustard, chili, and onions. They also offer a good fried hamburger. Oh yeah, chocolate milk, ice cold, rich and creamy.
