Freight Yard Pub

The Freight Yard Pub has been a fixture in the Heritage State Park for years. Other businesses in the Park have come and gone but the Pub remains a constant. This is hardly surprising since the food is good. I should add, however, that I can't imagine a vegetarian agreeing with this assessment... read more

It was so nice to have a roaring fireplace right next to us as we ate in a cold December day. It really added to the whole "Winter Getaway" vibe the place was rocking. We looked up the place as somewhere to get food upon our arrival at the Berkshires and it could not have been better. The burgers and... More

We had eaten here a number of years ago when visiting the area and were not certain we could even find it again. But the rain was coming down, we were really hungry and not in the mood for fast food, so what the heck let's try to find it and we did. The moment we walked in it felt... More

Cozy atmosphere and the best burger selection around. The Black Diamond was very tasty .Great service even though it was quite busy for a Saturday mid day.

We used to love FYP but the last 3 visits were a nightmare and last nights dinner concludes this family dining there. Took 45 minutes after ordering to receive our nachos. It took an additional hour and 25 minutes to receive our dinner which were sandwiches, fajitas ect (nothing difficult at all) The waitress was completely overwhelmed and said she... More

My husband & I went here for a drink and an evening bite on 2 occasions. The place was nice and the service was good. The food was adequate. Ordered what sounded "delish", steak with shrimp scampi and was disappointed by the quality of both the steak and shrimp. I would recommend sticking to pub fare, such as nachos, wings,... More

8 of us went here on Columbus Day weekend and were pleasantly surprised. We arrive around 7pm and had to sit upstairs as there were no tables downstairs. The food was very good (burgers, etc.) and later on we went downstairs, sat at the bar and listened to Tom Corrigan on the guitar. He was great and we had a... More

We were in there early afternoon and the bartender was also the waitress so she was running around. Our friend from PA didn't like the crab cakes - too much filler. My friend and I split a large order of chicken fingers - huge portion - we could have easily split the small portion. I think we each had 5... More

We went after trying a few other local eateries. This was the least favorite of them all. We ordered a kids burger and it was cooked to the point of being inedible. It took so long to get the food and it was so packed we didn't bother asking to have it remade. Overall, it was an ok visit and... More
