This was a very good restaurant but, sadly, it hasn't been open in over a year. Something is wrong with rating a restaurant that is closed, but the trip advisor site forces you to do just that. Weird.

We dined at Espana several times during 2013, including when an old friend, who has been living in the Southwest, arrived for an impromptu visit. Each time, we had scrumptious tapas, good drinks and attentive service. Our friend, who usually eats sparely, devoured her share of the tapas, then ordered two more for the table to try. We enjoyed the... More

Wonderful service, terrific food in a comfortable atmosphere. The drinks aren't bad either! Great assortment of menu options.

Friendly people serving tasty tapas with enthusiasm and pride -- but the main courses, such as paella, were without distinction or much flavor, and the overly sweet white wine sangria tasted more like Hawaiian punch. If chef could upgrade the seasonings, this rather charming place could be a standout.

the food was good. but very salty. very bad service. me and my wife asked about wine. and they did not know anything about wine. and had no knowledge of any of the wines. all of us want a good wine always next to the food when you enjoy a beautiful evening with your wife. and also they take long... Espana is in a building that has housed a number of restaurants: some "just OK" others creative & worth re-visiting. I will return to Espana. Though well-traveled diners will not think they are actually in Spain, the cuisine - cooking and service - has a other-world charm that makes a leisurely meal at Espana satisfying. The prices are good, the... More

We were just hiking in the Berkshire's mountains and just looking for a quick bite. Boy were we in for a surprise ! The place is small and coquette decorated tastefully. The menu list small but everything we try was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and very nice plated. Try this place, you won't be disappointed.

Somehow summer had slipped by without a visit to Espana (sometimes treasures closest to home are overlooked), so we headed there on a recent Saturday night. We were a bit on the late side by northern Berkshire county standards -- 7:30 -- so the rush was over. We had our choice of seating options, but since it was a cool... More

It is not easy to find the real thing. Gazpacho, 5 mushroom tapas, rack of lamb, sausage/lentils all extraordinary. Service just fine, even outdoors, contradicting previous reviewer. Best option in North Adams in my (albeit limited) experience.

Recently went to dinner with friends. There were 4 of us and we had a lovely meal. Their fresh fig salad is reason enough to go back. Good pasta, shrimp, and many other good options. Nice wines available as well.
