Great lunch

Stopped in for quick lunch and we were impressed. My wife and I shared a salad and calamari as apps and the bean soup and falafel as our main. All 4 were excellent. The service was also very good. Overall 4 1/2 stars

Chose this restaurant after rating in trip advisor and we were not let down. After a 3 hour drive from Boston we were looking for quiet family meal at a reasonable price . First impressions were great , friendly staff and large open dining room allowing us to have a decent conversation without yelling.....so rare these days.A good bar allows... More

Stopped in here after a visit to tour MCLA. It was a Saturday around 1:00. The place was about 1/2 full. We ordered 2 medium well burgers and an Italian sandwich. It took 50 minutes to get our food. They kept telling us our food was being plated but the food never came. Finally after 50 minutes, the food arrived.... More

North Adams feels a bit podunk––both to folks from the big city and to folks from really rural areas. Although there is a lot of urban renewal, skimming through menus of local eateries was a bit depressing...especially for vegetarians! The menus are all full of burgers, steaks, fried foods, etc... My boyfriend and I both expected Public to be similar,... More

On the particular night that I was at the Public the restaurant was extremely smokey and the smell was so strong it was hard to enjoy anything else. My food was mediocre with a very tough and dry pork chop, but the rest of my family seemed to enjoy their dinners. The fries were excellent.

Spring is just starting to happen here in the northern Berkshires - a little tease of warm temperatures and sunshine followed by chillier air, wind... Yesterday was like that - and we were dying for a burger on the grill by the afternoon, but the winds were gusting and cooking out seemed like a bad idea. Instead we headed to... More

We ate here before a show at MassMoca. It was crowded with a 20s-30s age range of people, and we had a 45 minute wait. Our server was prompt with our drinks and to take our order. We each ordered a different burger, and despite the packed house, our order came out quickly and was nice and hot. We were... More

Public eat+drink ended up being a very good place to eat in North Adams. The bouillabaise was delicious as were the salads. Clean, quiet restaurant not far from MASSMOCA.

I've never had a bad meal at Public. Service and food is always great, lots of drink selections and with great atmosphere you can't go wrong here.

We ate at Public before a concert at MASS MoCa. The interior is rustic but clean and modern. We sat right by the window and had a lovely view of the mountains. The door is in the back by the parking lot. There is no entrance in the front. There are small plates, mid sized plates and big plates. I... More
