A friend recommended the MASS MoCA to us and we made a side trip to North Adams on our way to Upstate NY. We consulted Trip Advisor and found this to be highly recommended so we gave it a try. Public Eat+Drink did not disappoint! Our lunches were great, I had the hummus/tabouleh plate and my husband had the fish... More

We were in North Adams for 3 nights and went to Public the first night we were there. The restaurant is an "upscale pub" with a relaxing atmosphere. There aren't that many tables and they don't take reservations so I'm sure it gets very busy on weekend nights. We were there on a Thursday and although they were busy we... More

Ate here on a Sunday night, and there was a really good buzz about the place and it was busy. The staff were great, service was good and so was the food. We were only passing through, but from looking around, I'd say this is probably the best in town. It's pretty reasonable too.

Came in on a busy Saturday night. Had great food and excellent service at the bar! Try adding a fried egg to any burger or save room for the Ice Cream Sandwich!

I've been coming to Williamstown/N.Adams for years to enjoy the art scene. I am pleased to have found a new place to eat that works for a late lunch, and offers something that's a bit more satisfying than the museum cafe. We were seated by the front windows around 2:30 or so. Our server was attentive and friendly. We ordered... More

We went there two nights in a row. The food was fresh, delicious, and healthy. The first night we sat by the window and the view was great. The second night we sat on the high bar table and chairs, which were not that comfortable especially for a short person like me, but the food was worth everything. Amanda provided... More

Great location. Sat at bar, because we had no reservations on a Saturday night of a long holiday weekend. Mussel app was awesome and burgers were delicious! Will definitely be going back.

We stopped in for lunch prior to to a visit to MasMOCA. Sitting in the front windows, there's a lovely view across to the museum's old industrial buildings and to the hills of the Clarksburg State Forest just beyond. (A little to the left and it's a view to the parking lot of the Berkshire Juvenile Court. . . .)... More

Having visited Public on several occasions with family I suggested it as a meeting place for lunch with an old friend. In the past I've been very satisfied. This time not so much. I ordered the fish tacos and they just didn't make it. Something was definitely lacking. There wasn't much of any flavor. Friend had a chopped salad and... More

Late evening dinner at the bar after a long day of moving, setting up, shopping. THE best martini, Warm bread with sweet, salted butter. The chop salad was perfect - cool, crisp vegetables and crunchy homemade croutons. Mussels and spicy sausage dinner was beyond delicious - I could not eat it all - but wished I could have!! The bartenders... More
