Too bad the flood was so late being served

Lovely, quaint, cozy ambience- intriguing menu- gracious server- the worst manager ever- our entree was over an hour in arrival- when we inquired about our food - the manager came over and told us that there was a large party being seated and our order got ''lost'' -he became argumentative and... read more

We had high hopes for this restaurant in Newton Highlands having heard good things from friends, but our experience was not great. Hopefully it was "blip" in the norm. We went early to avoid the evening rush and were put at a table for two against the wall and were then ignored until a long time later we asked about... More

Here on business with two colleagues and looking for a nice restaurant to have dinner. Came across 51 Lincoln by asking SURI for restaurants near our hotel. Terrific food, limited menu but that's OK because what they do...they do really well. David was our server and he couldn't have been nicer. Made recommendations and they worked. Started with the cheese... More

Excellent bibb salad and fried oyster tacos (the combination in the taco was surpising and delicious). Lively atmosphere Nice bar.

Emmet and Dan are great, attentive, creative bartenders. Easy and comfortable place to sit and gab and eat with a friend.

We dined with three other couples on New Year's Eve. One of the couples dine at 51L frequently...this was our first time. We often dine at Waban Kitchen, their sister restaurant. We started at the bar and moved into the dining room with a great table up front. Service for our large group was great. Food was excellent with a... More

My husband and I rang in the New Year by going to a local restaurant just minutes from our home. Even though it was a busy special holiday with many patrons, we never felt rushed or hurried. A four course dinner was offered with wine pairings for each course. Fortunately, we were allowed to order a la carte and chose... More

Four of us ate there Saturday night. The duck was very good and the miso salmon was excellent. The scallops, although tasty, was pricey for three scallops. One of our salmons was undercooked but they cooked it further when we asked. We had a chocolately dessert with molten chocolate that we shared. It was quite rich so sharing it worked!... More

I wouldn't normally pay the premium for this level of dining, but it does offer a unique menu with fresh and unusual ingredients. The service was understated and appropriate, and the wine recommendations were helpful.

51 Lincoln is consistently good - small but sufficiently varied menu, fresh and well prepared food, creative pairings of ingredients and flavors. If you're not counting your calories you must try the Polenta "Fries" ; if you're more health conscious go for the watermelon steak appetizer. We have never had a disappointing meal. Cozy bar area (and excellent cocktails) if... More
