One of the best restaurants in Newton Highlands, a charming western suburb of Boston close to Boston College. This restaurant has a lovely neighborhood vibe with locals who regularly eat there, this is a world class chef who smokes his own meats and tries inventive and flavorful cuisine. Lovely. Nice bar also.

Amidst the tranquil streets and shops that make up Newton Highlands lies a forward-thinking restaurant that is known for producing bold flavors and inventive, Latin-influenced dishes. 51 Lincoln, the brainchild of chef/owner Jeffrey Fournier, has been a longtime staple of local residents, several of whom stroll into the bar on a busy Saturday evening and are warmly greeted by affable... We were in town for a graduation. Many of the downtown restaurants were full so remembering a Boston colleague's recommendation from several years ago, we were able to get late reservations for 51 Lincoln. The restaurant is a bit noisy and tables are close to one another. We were fortunate to be seated near the kitchen and were able to... More

Excellent meal for two of us but the waiter tried way too hard and was far too friendly. I have enough friends - at an expensive restaurant I want to be left alone

We shared the watermelon steak and it was excellent. I had the Amish chicken and have to admit, I've never had had anything like it before. When served, it appeared to be a drumstick and large thigh combination, but when I peeled back the skin, it was a boneless piece of chicken with delicious melody of mushroom flavors. My husband... We had high hopes for this restaurant in Newton Highlands having heard good things from friends, but our experience was not great. Hopefully it was "blip" in the norm. We went early to avoid the evening rush and were put at a table for two against the wall and were then ignored until a long time later we asked about... More

Lovely, quaint, cozy ambience- intriguing menu- gracious server- the worst manager ever- our entree was over an hour in arrival- when we inquired about our food - the manager came over and told us that there was a large party being seated and our order got ''lost'' -he became argumentative and blamed us for ordering our food after others around... Here on business with two colleagues and looking for a nice restaurant to have dinner. Came across 51 Lincoln by asking SURI for restaurants near our hotel. Terrific food, limited menu but that's OK because what they do...they do really well. David was our server and he couldn't have been nicer. Made recommendations and they worked. Started with the cheese... More

Emmet and Dan are great, attentive, creative bartenders. Easy and comfortable place to sit and gab and eat with a friend.
