Carb loading

If you're looking to carb load for the race, get the homemade fettuccine. It's delicious! The sauce is sweet and you can purchase it by the jar.

I was drwan to this restaurant because it's name is my maiden name! SO how could I pass it by. Well - am I glad I went! It was AMAZING! The atmosphere is cozy. The "talk" about their marinara sauce is absolutely true! We had the Misto appetizer. OMG! The Toasted Raviolis, Stuffed Peppers Parmigiana & Calamari Fritti - was... More

They have the best sauce around. The food is excellent and the people are nice. Love the kitchen that you can stand and watch them cook. Reasonable wine list to compliment the food. Always my first choice if I want Italian. Better than most in the North End, free parking and they take credit cards.

This is not fine dining. Formica top tables and a bit cramped and decent amount of noise. But food is good; not sure I would call it great but good place to get decent Italian food in a local neighborhood setting. Wine list was disappointing; not huge selection and geared to quantity and price versus quality--again consistent with neighborhood oriented... More

We celebrated a family event this past weekend at Fiorellas and it was just perfect! I had to choose a restaurant in Newton (we are in Maine). After reading a lot of reviews on line and experiencing our dinner...I must say that we were very pleased. Iam glad I had made reservations early and I noticed it got packed as... More

We go to Fiorella's every several months. It's located on the Waltham line. It is a very good family Italian restaurant with good prices. They do not take reservations except for large groups. There is nearly always a wait on Friday and Saturday nights, and often other nights too. The food is good, and the qualities are typically large. I... More

We eat here on a regular basis. It is hidden away between Newton, Watertown, and Waltham. The daily specials are outstanding. They recently enlarged their seating area but the parking is tough. They have free valet parking, but we have been there when even the valets have run out of space. If you don't mind walking there is usually space... More

One of the best Italian restaurants in Newton, located near the border with Waltham and Watertown. Excellent quality, cooked perfectly, and large servings. Staff is attentive. The only problem is it's practically impossible for walk-ins to get a table, unless you come very early or very late. They've packed in a lot of seats, but it's not enough.

The food here is as good if not better than in the North End. And it is always consistent. Only downside is they do not take reservations or call aheads. But they do get you seated pretty quickly.
