This is probably the best Pizza in Newton. Thin crust is perfectly done, and their creations -- Pesto Splash, are inventive and tasty. Pizza is not cheap though -- $38.50 for two large Pizzas with two toppings each. No bargain, so it had better be good. The one downside is the service at the counter. If I did not love... More

There are a lot of pizza places in West Newton. None come close to Sweet Tomatoes. Thin crust, tasty toppings, and fresh ingredients. A slice is huge -- easily enough for lunch. If you sit down at one of the tables, note that the sun coming through the window is like a magnifying glass -- the stool seating is better!

We had a wonderful experience at Sweet Tomatoes. We brought 5 kids and they all really enjoyed the thin crust pizza. The woman at the counter was really helpful and attentive and they had the pizza ready exactly when they promised on the phone. The pizza was great: thin crust, chunks of tomatoes: very delicious and manageable!

Great thin crust, savory sauce and fresh toppings -- a pleasure! Staff is friendly and salads are fresh.

Sweet Tomatoes in West Newton or Needham is our preferred Pizza takeout stop. try the Pesto splash or Luxe Potato (Yukon Gold potatoes, fontina cheese & truffle oil). The West Newton manager suggested I add bacon to it and that was a terrific idea!

Love their thin crust pizza. I'd recommend reconfirming your call-in order before hanging up - they "forgot" my meat topping. However, they did offer me a salad to make up for it. Great customer service. Consistently good pizza!

The service here was slow and ho-hum. I ordered a Cesaer salad, meatball sandwich and a 14" pizza. I expected the meatball sandwich to come before the pizza since it was made from scratch but to my dismay after waiting 15 minutes both came at the same time. The pizza was thin crust and had chunks of raw tomato on... More

While visiting son and family in Newton, we ordered pizza from Sweet Tomato, collected them and brought them home. While not inexpensive- quite a bit more expensive that the national everywhere pizza establishments - they were excellent and well worth the price. Son and family had had them before and we got specialties everyone wanted – including a superb “white”... More
