I've been to Japan, twice, and have eaten sushi all over the world at some of the best restaurants maybe it's my own idiosyncracy, but this is probably my favorite. Great prices too. Went out of my way for it when I was back in town.

Get it to go. The bar is so cramped there's no elbow room and last time I was there they only had one table. Food is delightful.

We came here tonight at about 5:30 because we know Oishii fills up quickly. We really enjoyed the sushi and okonomiyaki, and my son loved his miso soup and shrimp tempura, especially the thin tempura noodles it came with on the plate. The service is quick and efficient. We will definitely be going back!

This is the smallest restaurant you may ever enter. you have to flatten yourself against the wall and move sideways to get to the register to receive your takeout. you have to wait (and wait) until your order is ready. But boy is it worth waiting for! You can get sushi just about anywhere these days, including in the supermarket... More

If you want some of the best sushi you've ever tasted, head to a little place called Oishii Sushi Bar in Chestnut Hill, MA. The sushi literally melts in your mouth and the various rolls are simply delicious. Service is excellent, but the place is very small, so be prepared to sit at the counter or wait for one of... Best japanese food in area, small restaurant with very good sushi and japanese foods, very creative with great flavors and the staff is fantastic. Service is great and staff very attentive. Restaurant may seat only 15-20 people but staff is. Over 10 and all work hard.

This little hole in the wall has become my go to place for the best sushi I ever had. It's my new addiction. Their creations are to die for. After a long wait (totally worth it), we got seated on the bar and what we usually order is what the waiters recommend. Don't bother with the menu- Let them surprise... More

Always fresh, always great. Get the Paula sushi. I love the salmon sashimi, which is very sweet and very fresh. The miso soup is great too.

While working in Boston i went to Oishii hoping it would be a good sushi bar. I had looked on line and no one had good ratings near where I was staying. Decided to try this little sushi bar. It was just like Japan (I was just there in May 2013). Small only a few seats at the sushi bar... More

I've been to dozens of sushi restaurants all over the place, and this is one of the best. The sashimi is thick and melts in your mouth. Service is skilled and prompt. Highly recommended.
