Great Breakfast Stop

This is a delightful spot in beautiful Newton, MA. you most likely have to wait for a table during prime hours but the wait is worth it! Our wait staff was so pleasant and helpful and did not rush us at all. The fried blueberry muffins are to die for. Loved it went back the next day for an... read more

A lot of people seem to like Johnny's. Based on a single recent visit, I'm not sure why. It was OK in my view--and as a native New Yorker, I'll just assert that I know good deli. I tried the blintzes, a dish that's not really that hard to do well in my view. Johnny's version was very sugary--so much... More

Real traditional American diner complete with red benches and coat hooks for each table. Freshly cooked fresh haddock was served beautifully seasoned, along with scoops of mash and a mountain of fresh broccoli. Couldn't have been better. Service good too.

Friendly service - helpful without being annoying. Great selection of tasty breakfast foods - potatoes to die for. Eggs were cooked perfectly, nice variety of breads for toast and excellent coffee too. Only problem with the food was how hard it was to pick just one item from the menu! The lunch menu looked fascinating as well. Amazingly, it was... More

Ate hear 18 years ago -- and its still friendly, big menu, fairly priced and delicious! Shakes, soups, big sandwiches, eggs -- wonderful spot for a weekend lunch or casual dinner with family and friends. Love it!

This is the neighborhood meeting place for breakfast (personal and business) and they're known for that. They make a really great omelette (any kind) and one of the BEST things about Johnny's is that you can pretty much substitute anything for anything else. Don't feel like homefries? No problem, have some fruit or an Israeli salad. Some tips: - Super... More

I came here with a couple of family members for breakfast after hearing how good it was, and we were not disappointed. The line to get in was very long at about 10:00 in the morning, so there will almost certainly always be some sort of wait. I ordered basic scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, and toast. My grandmother ordered... More

After not having been to Johnny's for about 10 years, I met a colleague there for breakfast this past Friday morning. The service was excellent the food was perfect – just what I expect from a good deli. Prices are what you'd expect for Newton Center. I want to especially recognize the manager who handled a food allergy request perfectly,... More
