We had dinner there before the cinema. Very nice restaurant to come if you just want to eat, nothing special, just what we needed. They added some new items in their menu, I got Crusted Duck Duo and it was delicious! Staff is nice and pleasant, did everything very fast. We enjoyed our dinner, so maybe we'll come there again... We have enjoyed dinner here many times. Some items are seasonal - wish the artichoke fritters were back - but their mainstays are delicious. Service is always attentive and friendly. Good to have reservations but if you are early, a bistro table at the bar might do. Try one of their signature concoctions - The Steve McQueen. Because of the... More

Simple, limited menu for lunch. Food was tasty, well prepared. Service good, often crowded. Nice place to meet a friend for lunch. Good for families.

Always first rate, whether the delicious hamburgers or incredible lobster rolls. Extremely well versed in GF dining. Beautiful decor and good service. Don't go on a weekend with children of any age - you'll be seated in the less lovely overflow room with 100% of the toddlers and young children dining at that moment.

I had a dinner there with some friends- six of us. The menu choices were excellent and the portions were quite ample. We never felt rushed and the wait staff let us sit for quite some time. The restaurant can get quite noisy so hearing can sometimes be difficult.

Had the mahi tacos which were great but a little messy and my girlfriend had the crab benedict who's was excellent. The Cottage bloody Mary s excellent for those that like them spicy.

I agree with what others say about the nachos as an appetizer. They are very good and a bit different from what you get at more downscale restaurants. The Cottage is a tweener between a bistro and a restaurant and has a good location next to Legal Seafood. I would bet that it benefits from overflow from Legal. The food... More

I went for a work get-together, and I thought the atmosphere was perfect. The service was excellent. I got the scallops, where there were only five (but they were good). However, some of the other meals I saw, especially the salads, were huge. For dessert, I got vanilla ice cream with espresso. That was certainly a treat. We had reservations,... More

While my colleagues and I were innocently having lunch, we were treated in such a horrible manner by one of the waitresses. she looked very upset and addressed us in a very angry way when just asking for some drinks and when she asked us if we wanted any desert (obviously going we would just leave asap, which we did)....
