Had the mahi tacos which were great but a little messy and my girlfriend had the crab benedict who's was excellent. The Cottage bloody Mary s excellent for those that like them spicy.

I agree with what others say about the nachos as an appetizer. They are very good and a bit different from what you get at more downscale restaurants. The Cottage is a tweener between a bistro and a restaurant and has a good location next to Legal Seafood. I would bet that it benefits from overflow from Legal. The food... More

I went for a work get-together, and I thought the atmosphere was perfect. The service was excellent. I got the scallops, where there were only five (but they were good). However, some of the other meals I saw, especially the salads, were huge. For dessert, I got vanilla ice cream with espresso. That was certainly a treat. We had reservations,... More

While my colleagues and I were innocently having lunch, we were treated in such a horrible manner by one of the waitresses. she looked very upset and addressed us in a very angry way when just asking for some drinks and when she asked us if we wanted any desert (obviously going we would just leave asap, which we did).... Excellent fresh food, the choices for lunch made a decision difficult. There were 14 of us and everything went smoothly, the waiter was friendly and prompt. Our food was served, at the same time; therefore, no one had to wait while others were eating. 5 Star of quality and freshness of food! The atmosphere and cleanliness added to the ambiance... More

We went to The Cottage to celebrate a graduation. It lived up to my expectations, which were high. The inside is fresh and trendy, very nicely appointed, so we debated about eating in or out, but as the day was simply gorgeous, we opted for an umbrella-ed table on the outdoor patio. Our server was attentive; the food was very,... More

Modern nachos. I forget what kind of cheese. I remember the to-die-for mango guacamole. Not guacamole with a few hunks of mango. No. It was like puréed and added so you tasted it in every bite, with occasional hunks of mango. Completely amazing. Am plotting when I can return, for this alone. Crab cake--delish. Lots of seafood on the menu,... More

Easy going, clean, cottage-pretty atmosphere is great for families. The decibel level is on the high side, so it absorbs the noise children can make. A children's meal comes with (covered) soda and a Hoodsie cup. But it's not just for kids--the menu is always great--something for everyone. Desserts are irresistible (there's a cupcake place almost next door, but the... More

Great place for the kids - they give them a coloring book and crayons, and they have a nice children's menu. Food is always fresh.

We went to the Cottage for a birthday celebration. We had a a wonderful time! The wait staff was great...very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered a round of drinks and had a warm goat cheese salad, arugala salad and fried calamari for appetizers. While someone in the party thought the service for these was a little slow,... More
