I wanted to treat myself to some sushi and sake. So i went here and I have eaten here before. The waitress was attentive when I first walked in and then she got on her phone and never looked up at me again. I had to get up from my table at least 2 times and go to where she... More

I love sushi, and this is place is local, convient, and tasty. Prices are decent for the area. I went with friends and we were all happy. We started with a house salad, and they were huge, dressing was interesting, I would probably get it on the side. And they are large enough to share. We got several varities of... More

Made a last minute decision to go here in an area of town that I don't usually frequent. It was a warm evening and that brought a lot of people out and about. The place was full, but they managed to find some seats for us. Originally they almost let us walk out the door instead of just recommending that... More

Nice neighborhood Sushi place in Newtonville. Not too fancy, but decent quality sushi at a reasonable price. Lunch specials are very good as well.

Excellent decor in this little neighborhood. The food is very good, and fits the style. We enjoyed maki and teriyaki chicken, both were very good.

Aji is our favorite. Whenever we want to introduce a friend to the world of sushi this is where we bring them. You should try: Princess maki, New wave maki, Black forest maki, Kings maki, and Dr Bob's maki. The seaweed salad and the avocado salad are also excellent.

We go to Aji and also order food very often. Sushi is always excellent, fresh and nicely presented. Service is fast and the staff is polite and attentive. Very reasonably priced food for a place like Newton (very upscale and expensive city in Massachusetts). It is so nice that finally we have a restaurant that people enjoy (after multiple attempts... We enjoyed lunch at Aji. We had lovely, subtle vegetable gyoza (which could be ordered fried or steamed) and succulent maki for starters. I had the sesame chicken, which was delicious, and my brother-in-law enjoyed his vegetarian udon noodles dish. Looking forward to my next visit.

This is my second time there. The saba was glorious both times. I do love saba. The place is small, not tiny. But if you had ever told me there would be food fit to eat in Newton, I'd have laughed until I cried. Goodness knows there was none when I was trapped there as a teen. The service is... More

I've actually never eaten at the actual restaurant, only ordered take-out, so I don't have a point of view on ambiance or service. I can say that usually around 7pm it's pretty crowded in there and there are people waiting. The sushi itself has always been very fresh, delicious, and well prepared. I've never had anything that did not taste... More
