Nice Lunch

Went here for lunch with my wife and the service was good. The food was excellent for flavor. I banged my elbow when sitting down and the waitress brought over some ice in a bag for it. Very cool on her part. Price was very reasonable for lunch

Laid back, unintimedating and comfortable surroundings, friendly staff, but most of all, the highly personalized touch of the Guiseppe, the patriach who oversees a really authentic cuisine of Italian fare that is a culinary delight. It's a must stop for me in "the port"....and only about a six buck cab fare from downtown!

My wife and I visited Giuseppe's for an early dinner. We were delighted by the large number of menu selections. Not only did they have a number of set menu items, you could build your own dish by selecting a pasta, sauce and sides. It took us a bit of time to make our selections. The true measure of a... Since I reviewed this place about three years ago, the Sardinian-born owner has expanded and upgraded his premises, with a bar and a "nicer" dining area. Prices have bumped up accordingly, with perhaps a 20% increase over the former menu. It's still a very good place for a meal prepared by actual human beings in an actual kitchen with good... More

We ordered Chicken Cacciatore and an antipasto salad to go. The pasta was a stuck together mess, small amount of chicken, negligible vegetables, and bland sauce. The salad was another big disappointment.

Turn right at the lights at the Shell and 7Eleven and you're there. This is classic Italian food made with love by a staff and an owner Guiseppe who is in the restaurant most of the time. I'm not Italian, but he is and I trust him. It's been gratifying to see the success of this restaurant, growing from a... More

This is certainly the best Italian restaurant that you can find in this area. Among all, I love their Arrabbiata sauce (spicy marinara). Right next to the restaurant, there is an authentic Italian market where they sell the prepared pasta, marinara sauce, and other Italian goodies.

My husband and I always make a trip to Giuseppe's every time we visit Newburyport. The lasagna, and stuffed shells are so good you just can't stop eating. The marinara sauce ,or gravy as some people call it, is tops on our list. Try it and you will soon be a fan.

Instead of bringing home fast food to your family on work nights, try this place for a change. Really homemade authentic Italian family meal trays.

A lot of folks ask where Giuseppe's is and how to get there. Yet, until recently, despite knowing where it is tucked away on Low Street, I had never stopped in to sample its menu. So, on a quiet night, after 8:30 PM I drove with Kit for a dinner out. The hostess greeted us cordially and said we could sit... More
