Quality needs to be improved

The food here is average at best across the board. The details are lacking in a big way. From the Chinese offerings ... Wonton soup features the most tasteless broth I have ever had. Crab rangoons were dry, over fried and missing the 'crab'. Everything I have had seems bland. For Chinese Food... read more

Visiting relatives, we are on the way to Plum Island for bicycling, stop by the downtown , we had a very nice lunch! We tried both Chinese and Thai cuisine dishes! We had the triple delight soup for two and hot tea, Thai salad, and the fisherman's platter w/rice. It was so very tasty and filling. The ambience is "older"but... More

Extraordianry varied menu with Peking Duck one of my favorites...but don't miss the Sushi! The interior is soft and low key , the staff super friendly

We are so surprised by the poor reviews for Szechuan Taste. My hubby and I are picky, especially about Chinese food, and we've enjoyed every meal we've gotten here over the years! We will continue to eat there, and we hope you'll give it another try for your traditional Chinese meal orders. Deeeelicious!

This is the 2nd time in a row I've ordered from here and been told '20-25 minutes' for my pick up order and it took one HOUR instead. There has to be a better way to estimate how long it takes to complete orders. Making a customer wait over 30 minutes in the lobby, while also not even acknowledging how... More

I lived in China for seven years and have a pretty good idea what authentic Chinese food tastes like. This isn't it. The dish I ordered had a little pepper next to it on the menu indicating spicy but trust me, even a Big Mac is hotter. A spicy dish in a restaurant with "Szechuan" in its name should have... More

Stopped here for a late lunch while Christmas shopping in Newburyport. Having never eaten here before, I didn't know what to expect. I ordered the Happy Noodles luncheon special that came with soup. They also offered a pot of complimentary tea, which few places do these days. Anyway, the Happy Noodles dish was the best I've had, and I was... More

After a bad experience here several years ago I decided to try it again. I ordered the orange chicken thinking how hard can that be. Well it made me ill and I'm still paying for it a day later. The food quality here is absolutely awful and there are so many good choices in Newburyport. Do not let the location... More

We should've left right after the waitress asked whether we needed nailing and silverware... I naively believed it was a normal practice to have these items on the table. Apparently not here. The food... Pad Thai specifically... It smelled like wet dog. No joke. It was impossible to even have it on the table. When we asked the waitress to... More

When you give an estimate of 20 minutes on the phone, it should never take 1 hour. Don't believe the estimates. Seems that sushi orders can significantly delay your order. I would not order from here if you are in a hurry.
