The coffee was served in a cup with a small spoon. I was able to add a lemon peel, a delicious combination. This is a throwback to the time before espresso was a fast-food commodity. The almond biscotto was also good and the price for it all was about $3.00 if I remember correctly.

Its trying to be a hip coffee bar, but the coffee is so-so, the desserts very indulging (pure sugar), which is fine, I love my sugar....but the selection is only that type, no other fewer calorie desserts offered...nice window tables and a back section to skulk in the dark on the sofa. Been subjected to bad music a few times.... More

After dinner and a nice walk around the city this past Saturday evening, my wife and I stopped in for some cappuccino and dessert. It was all very good with great, live music being playing - the perfect end to a very enjoyable evening in beautiful Newburyport.

I want to love Caffe Di Siena cause it is a cool spot and the espresso drinks and coffee are pretty good. Not fabulous for the price. But it has the potential to be great. The space is really large and interesting but they've either, really let it go or never bothered to do anything with it. The carpets are... More

This is a nice very comfortable caffe. My guest and I stopped in for coffee after dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Their coffee was very good, somewhere between Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts. Their selection of pastries and cookies was vast but not exactly Italian. They did, however, have a good selection of biscotti's which was nice. It was very relaxed... More

A quick walk from the Firehouse. The staff was friendly. We ordered cappuccinos as well as a dessert. The staff was friendly; environment was quaint; the atmosphere was calming as live music played in the background. Understandably it was Newburyport, but felt it was a little overpriced considering the product. Would return in time, but will first explore other options.

Cute place, nice people. But our group was torn. One couple loved the coffee and apple crumb cake. Other couple hated watery hot chocolate and bland cannoli; tasted like straight ricotta. Ordered drinks without whipped cream and cinnamon, got it anyway. And way overpriced! Making up for cute building overhead I'm guessing.

This is no Starbucks (or "Char-bucks"), thank goodness. Caffe di Siena has been here for over twenty years and it is a comfortable coffee house an a great place to meet friends. Because Newburyport has some excellent restaurants, this place is a favorite for a delicious dessert and a delicious espresso. There is live classical guitar some evenings. We go... More
