Best local place to go

This is where all the locals go....best club sandwichws, fried clamp and sour cream & onion fries. Drinks are cheap and cold. Plus once you get seated, it's a fast visit, they get you in & out. A family of 4 can easily eat a good meal for $60.- or even under (&that's including tip)

Perhaps the best fried clams EVER. Each time we go there we have a difficult time deciding what to have as everything looks so good when the servers bring the different dishes from the kitchen. We went yesterday and had a fried clam plate - which because it is so big - we shared. Wonderful as always. Have also had... More

My wife and I ate here a couple of times this fall. We ordered the fried clams and prime rib dinners. When they arrived we split them and both thoroughly enjoyed them. The clams are the most tasty around and the prime rib was also excellent. Pub like atmosphere a little off the beaten path but well worth the extra... More

We lucked out and got in without a wait - usually there's a line. Menu has variety from burgers and sandwiches to lasagna and seafood but the prime rib for $15 was the best meal that night. All the food was very tasty and the service was good. Decorations are high school sports teams and college banners. Obviously a place... More

Some writer said, "Old School? Stuck in the Past?" I say, "GREAT STAY THERE!" The food is honest, wholesome, homemade and plain and simple; very good. The best baked haddock I've had on the North Shore. BUT what I really want to call out is the homemade tartar sauce (it could be from a five star French menu). It is... More

This small, quaint restuarant has the best fish and food anywhere!!!! They flash bake(high heat) their haddock with condenced milk, then bake it for the duration. You have never had haddock like this, fresh everyday from the ocean to the oven to your plate! and I'm not kidding! The clams are mountainous, huge heaps of food! very delicious!!! On March... More

If you’re ever in the Newburyport waterfront area and want a really good (reasonably priced!) “home cooked” meal, The Park Lunch is the place to go! We were with friends who remembered it from years ago as being great – and it looks like nothing has changed! We were greeted as soon as we walked it and told it would... More

This is a family style restaurant with a long standing sports bar.. It has a real following and the parking lot is generally full particularly between 5pm - 8pm most days. Burgers and fries. Nothing fancy just good down home food.

Always decent quality food. Enough said. You have to put up with mediocre service. All waitresses and cooks smoke - Matt the bartender is awesome

I grew up in Massachusetts and simply don't get back often enough. Finally headed back and took my daughter and granddaughter with me. I only measure restaurants by two menu items.....lobster rolls and fried clams. I opted for the fried clams here, which seemed to be highly rated. I also had fried clams on a few other occasions through New... More
