I live in Newburyport and have been to this restaurant several times. It is not one of my favorites, but I sometimes meet friends there for lunch or dinner. The menu is pretty limited and portions are small. I typically just get a salad and appetizer. Those who have never been to Newburyport before typically pick this restaurant because it... More

I have been here several times over the past 6 months. Our purpose is to catch up so as a result, we often spend 2-3 hours and are not in a hurry. Food varies - most of it is very overpriced and not that great. A few exceptions - their calamari appetizer is plentiful, of good quality and is served... More

The clam chowder was nice and thick, the way Iike it. My wife had a walnut salad it was plentiful and delicious. The waitress was very sweet and the outside seating was lovely. The view was wonderful.

This setting and scenery are very nice on a hot summer day! Service was timely and friendly. The lunch menu offered a good variety of seafood and turf choices. Parking is nearby and inexpensive. You can stroll along the boardwalk park along the river and then through the town with quaint shops.

Menu was set with several choices, very good, look forward to coming back and ordering ala carte. The service was good considering the size of our three tables and everyone is very helpful.

My family and I made reservations here and were looking forward to our outing very much. I was immediately disappointed with the menu selections. Not much for a vegetarian to eat. Basically have 2 options (salad or ratatouille). Only one appetizer was vegetarian... That's not a big deal being that it is the Black Cow and it's a steak house... More

Came here on our 1st night of vacation. Menu is a little on the pricey side. Eating on the deck in good weather is preferred but, be prepared to wait. Food is very good, service is friendly and swift. Place is very clean. Nice harbor views.

I went here for a date as friends had suggested that the location was quite romantic and I agree. We got a table outside and the service was very friendly. I loved their beer selection and while the food wasn't outstanding, it was fresh and solid. Nothing out of the ordinary with their fried calamari. I would definitely come here... More

Went here with family and had an outstanding lunch out on the back patio overlooking the water. Great service, great scenery, and the food was excellent. I had the Caeser salad with salmon on top. The salad was great, but the salmon was cooked to perfection, which is a rarity in most eateries. The calamari was also well cooked and... More

Not happy tonight? Did they change the chief? Last visit was amazing, we should have cooked at home tonight. Even though the steak was great the sauce was unidentifiable. It was, definitely not red wine demi glaze. The perfect meal all things compliment each other. Not the way wanted to celebrate my daughters 18 th birthday. :(
