Italian food on a Sunday afternoon

Went for an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon before Christmas. Hubby had minestrone soup that he just said was good. No big rave about it. We had fried zucchini sticks that were tasty as an appetizer, but served with their homemade tomato sauce that was as plain as plain can be. Not much too it... read more

For the last six years I have been meeting two good friends for lunch at Lorenzo's to catch up with each other. Why do we keep going there? It's equidistant from where the three of us live/work. Period. They have a funny way to make you feel not particularly welcome; maybe they cater to locals only. There's usually enough people... More

My date and I just ate here. The food was served warm, not hot. The food was mediocre, which was OK, however, we were rushed out even though we only left at 7:30, long before closing time. My date informed me that the wait staff were talking about us in a negative way and how they wished we would hurry... More

Went there for dinner the other night. They have the best eggplant parmesan. The place could use a little updating and the servers could smile a bit more. Our server was great, friendly and smiled even when she wasn't at our table.

Ate here first time . It seemed the wait staff was short handed, our waiter was very good but looked like he was responsible for half the place, always running around. Food was good, sauce very good, meatballs good, sausage was excellent but the chicken parm---eh not so good . The chicken was not the best piece of meat. Over... More

Dropped in late one the way home from the airport. The service was excellent, as was the food. We had a toddler with us, and the waitress was very kind to her and got our food out quickly.

Really nice place with a very friendly and competent staff. The food is mostly Italian and very good. I especially like the manacotti. Their sauce is more sweet than spicy, which I prefer. My only complaint is that the only bourbon they have is Jack, which is ok.

Traveling alone I sat at a table near the bar and had excellent service, polite table service and a slice of local flavor. This is definitely a local haunt and adds to the atmosphere of the restaurant. I had the veal saltimbocca, which was new on the menu and it was excellent! I definite return trip will be in order... Whenever I tried this place (several times over the years) I'm always disappointed. I love Italian food, but I do not eat here.

The Fairfield Inn staff suggested several restaurants in the area; this is the first we passed. It's a winner and we'll be back next time we stay there. We had the ravioli, garlic bread, salad, stuffed clams, butternut fingers, soup and veal parmesan. All were delicious. We especially liked the butternut fingers...fried butternut squash. The service and the décor are... More
