I was here many years ago and never had the opportunity to return but glad I finally did. The reviews are mixed on this place but I thought it was a nice experience with great food. The building is old, built in the 1600s but very well kept and clean. The bar is very small and very busy so we... More

The Sweetheart Inn is run by Mike and LeeAnn Condon--a husband and wife team. It's been around a very long time. It is a historical building in Methuen, Massachusetts. Set up in a rural neighborhood, it would be best if your first visit was made during daylight hours to be sure that you don't miss it. Because of the good... More

Great place to eat where the food and service is exceptional. We went on a Wednesday night and one of the specials that they run every week is two dinners for $22. It includes soup, 12 different entrées to choose from, coffee and dessert. Everything was fantastic.

Saw an advert for this old restaurant close to home, and decided to give it a try. Bad idea. While my wife and I looked past the decor (reminds one of grandma's colonial country home with no upgrades for 70 years), we could not get past the the poor food quality. She ordered a salad with steak tips, medium rare.... More

I grew up a couple miles from this place and remember going as a kid for the chicken BBQs. As I got older I tried a variety of menu items and was always pleased. Food is great! I hadn't been in many years, but last week I was visiting relatives in the area and decided to stop in with my... More

We've lived in the area now for a little over a year and just discovered this hidden gem that is open Wednesday - Sunday and opens at 4:30 for dinner. They do take reservations. They have a full bar and after 6 a bar menu. Off the beaten path and a nice find.

We had never eaten there before and didn't know what to expect, we were blown away at how fantastic the food was ! ! The buffet was huge with... More

Sweet!! Reads a bit kitschy however The Sweetheart Inn is just that. We were so lucky to be invited for Easter Brunch and so we undertook the 1 1/2 hour ride. Weather beautiful so the ride was a pleasure. Arriving at the Inn - well, just a little piece of heaven! Atmosphere - superlative. So very bright and relaxing combined... More
