The breakfast is excellent. The pancakes are the best. The fresh fruit plate is very good.I have been many timeses and keep going back. It is family friendly. If the kids want to see the train go by it is the perfect spot.

The food is great, and you get a lot of it. The atmosphere is exactly what you expect in a trackside diner. It's crowded and loud, and the menu changes daily, written on a white board. The staff and other customers are all friendly. Definitely a local treasure.

The breakfast here is very good! There really aren't too many options for traditional breakfast in Melrose. Cappy's fills the void! The service is fast and friendly, the quality and value of food is excellent. The place is small, so it's sort of "intimate" seating:} But the service is quick enough, that you're not there too long:} Definitely not a... More

We've been to Cappa's many times. It can be a hit or miss place. Today, it was more misses than hits. Burnt toast, tasteless eggs, and hard potatoes. Also, we were rushed by bus-girl while we were eating. But, pancakes were great as usual. Perhaps it is time to look elsewhere for us.

We come here at least once a month for breakfast. The owner Debbie is very nice and makes us feel like we are at home. The atmosphere is like a mom & pop restaurant. It has the feeling like we are in a diner. The breakfasts are very good and they will accommodate you with anything you want.

Whenever we have guests, we usually go here since it is a short walk and always good. Two big plusses: Scali Toast and sausage patties. Many creative approaches to pancakes, coffee in random mugs from various places usually served by some high school kid. They are always busy but always friendly and we love it!

This is a great, friendly breakfast place! The food is tasty, gets to you pretty quick, and there is plenty of it! The prices are pretty amazing too. When it gets crowded, you have to be a little aggressive to get a coffee refill, but other than that we love this place!

My Mom and I ate here two weeks ago and LOVED our meal! We split and egg sandwich and strawberry cheesecake stuffed French toast- and if that doesn't sound appealing, then I don't know what does. It was so delicious and the service was quick and our waitress was very friendly. They have a large array of flavored creamers which... More

Pancakes, french toast, omelettes are the best. The omelettes servings are huge so you need to have a good appetite to finish one and they are yummy. I had gone here a couple of times for breakfast and i had taken a family visiting me as well. The food and service is awesome. This place does get a bit crowded... More

We had to many different servers, very confusing. One thing we don't like is places that set menus on top of our clean silverware. During our visit none of these servers came to see how we were doing or to offer more coffee, one finally came with a check... I said, hello can I get a second cup of coffee.... More
