just like zio paolo. limited menu. nothing special. no reason to go. What was zio Paolo's has now been renamed Derek's. The restaturaunt looks the same. most of the food is the same and there is no reason to go here. there are better restaraunts in town and Derek's offers no compelling reason to go.

Zio Paola's is closed and has been replaced by Derek's. We went to Derek's last night and were the only people in the restaurant. We left as the air conditioner was not on despite the outside temperature of approx. 86 degrees.

A family own and operated restaurant. They serve bread and dipping sauce as you wait for your order. Their Chicken Picatta and Chicken Francaise entrees are fabulous and very flavorful. The chicken can be cut without the knife as it falls apart. The meals are traditional and consistent from visit to visit. A nice Italian eatery in the suburb of... More

My mom and step-father took me here on Saturday since I can't get good Italian food in Dallas. Although it was a Saturday night, we got right in and the food was great. I ordered the veal parm. There was a huge piece of veal and it was cooked perfecty. The sangria was good too. My sister had the risotto... More

Have not gone to this restaurant in several years and was disappointed with this visit. We had wine to go along with the dinner and both the sangria and house chardonnay were poor choices on our part. We both had escargot and it was excellent so we felt better about the entree until it was served. My partner had the... More

Service was awful and surprisingly when I spoke up that my chicken wasn't cooked (it was still raw) they never sent the manager to my table. By the time my new meal came out my husband was done with his. No apologies, nothing, we will NEVER return and we tell everyone to stay clear.

The service is friendly, but the food is not prepared well and it is far too expensive for what it is. I ordered risotto that turned out to be mostly butter, cream and cheese - it was really gross, and believe me when I say that I love risotto. My husband's dish was also greasy and gross. We used to... More

Although this restaurant is tucked into a stripmall with a very unappealing exterior, it's once you get in the door that you'll be surprised how expansive and well decorated it is. The servers are very professional and friendly, the food is fresh and well portioned. It is my go to restaurant when I want to dine out locally

The menu here can be predictable as it's a northern Italian eatery, but the food is very well done. The mussels as an appetizer are always a big hit.
