We enjoyed a meal at Tastebuds while on vacation in Mattapoise, MA. The restaurant is off the path for vacationers, but on Main Street for locals. The restaurant is very small with a view of the kitchen while dining. Other restaurants in town have a view of the water, but this restaurant was full of locals when we got there.... More

Real fine dining. service was a little pretentious, went early and although restraint was empty they asked if we had reservation, we asked for window table and were told it was reserved, no one sat there the entire time we were there. given the poor start, we were amazed at the quality of the food, I had glazed salmon, delicious... Have loved this little gem for 3 plus years, always consistent; great food, regular and interesting seasonal menu and terrific service. Had an "off night" in March 2014, after an almost 3 great year run. Revisited April and June 2014 and simply terrible........service and food. They seem to have lost their direction and focus. The menu is tired, the service... More

This restaurant was recently discovered by some friends who like it very much. They couldn't wait to introduce it to us. We all ordered different meals and were very pleased with our selections. My bouillabaisse was delicious! The restaurant is a converted house and space is limited. It's a good idea to make a reservation. We will definitely be back!

We stopped on a Wednesday night. Service was prompt, food was delicious. My husband had scallops and I had the pistachio encrusted salmon. Both were great. The key lime pie dessert was wonderful. We are always in search of a good key lime pie and this is one of the best we had. Looking forward to going again.

Went for lunch with four colleagues we were promptly seated in a nice intimate corner, drinks served quickly I had the Farmers Market wrap excellent choice it was presently hot with a side of homemade potato chips, never felt pressure to leave and given plenty of privacy for our gathering, I look forward to returning with my wife for dinner... It was my first visit at taste buds and me and my fiancé went there for a date night and the ambience was perfect. I preferred the small intimate space they had over an overcrowded loud restaurant. I ordered a sangria to start and it was the best sangria I have ever tasted...it was a great size. I then ordered... More

Yesterday, while riding to a gift shop in Mattapoisett, we decided to lunch at Tastebud's based on the raves we had heard from several friends about this place. The place reeks with ambiance, it's cozy and tastefully decorated. We were immediately seated, and because it was just after noon, the place was fairly busy. Although they serve beer & wine,... More
