Just an average place to eat

We had one meal there and were not overly impressed. As another reviewer noted, the food is bland. I had the whole lobster and it was fine because you don't have to flavor it to be good but my sister had the broiled fish and it had absolutely no seasoning of any kind. Wish it had of been... read more

While the prices are a bit more reasonable than most Cape restaurants, the food is not very good. Nothing "wrong" with it, but the fish was bland, and uninteresting and not appetizing. The vegetables were soggy and tastless. The clam chowder was ok. Its all served on paper and cardboard. We don't think this is a good Cape dining experience!

We had shrimp rolls, fries, clam chowder, and slaw...the only thing with flavour was the slaw. The chowder looked great but like everything was close to tasteless. The lunch prices are very reasonable, the restaurant was spotlessly clean and the service was great, too bad about the food!

My husband and I have seafood from Cooke's once a week. He has the grilled swordfish platter and I have broiled haddock. With a baked potato and mixed vegetables, the weekly cost is about 33.00. Sometimes we eat there and have a beer but most of the time we get take-out. The only negative I can say about Cooke's is... More

Cooks used to be good but they have basically priced themselves out of the market. For the amount of money they charge I don't want self service off paper plates. A better choice is Seafood Sam's for a lot less money.

I just tried Cooke's seafood for the first time. Overall, I would say the food is good to very good considering the price point. We took our food to go, which was packaged very well to travel, and enjoyed it. This restaurant has an order and pay setup, instead of a sit down and order. The interior of the restaurant... More

The food is awesome. Some of the best damn fried fish I have had in New England. Bar service is great too! What's odd is the pretty much lack of wait staff duties. Sure - they bring your order of food to the table and ...that's it! You get your drinks, your water, your condiments and...oh BTW please clean your... More

Food here is fried, greasy and cold when it is supposed to be hot and hot when it is supposed to be cold. The Cooke's in Hyannis is good, but not this one.

Cooke's is our go to place for when Family & Friends come to visit. The Seafood (really no one dares order anything but!!) is always fresh, tasty, well prepared and served. Takeout service is quick and efficient and we have NEVER had an issue with an item missing from our order. In-restaurant seating is vast, the dining room is clean;... More

We came here a year or so ago and had a good experience with everything. Came back today and the service was still good, but the food was a disappointment. The scallops were served under cooked and rubbery. The chowder had a funny taste to it (like caraway?) and was skimpy on the clams. Don't know if they changed cooks... More
