Very good seafood

We had the fried clams as well as fried haddock. Both were very good. The restaurant was freezing cold and we couldn't wait to get outside to warm up. That is why only 4 stars.

Come here for the fried claims, shrimp, etc... The soup and cole slaw are very good too.... You order at the counter, but they bring your food to your table when its done being cooked. All of the seafood is very fresh. They sell beer too... maybe hard liquor, but I am not sure about that. Open from April to... More

On a cloudy Cape day we found ourselves out and about and stumbled upon Cooke's. Our group wanted fast and easy; lobster rolls and clam strips...seemed like the perfect choice. The clam strips and cole slaw were very good; the lobster roll good. Sadly the staff...not so much! We approached the counter to place our order but had a question... More

Not a destination at all. Sort of cafeteria like in its ambience, lots of the ubiquitous fried seafood. The broiled options are less successful, in my opinion. If you are gluten free, not many options. Everything is breaded or crusted and when my husband ordered broiled haddock there were no options for sides for him that were gluten free. Food... More

After a long, traffic filled ride to the Cape, we came o Cooke's in Mashpee to eat. I had the broiled scrod, baked potatoe and mixed veggies. It was very tasty. Good sized portion. My husband had the fries scallops and shrimp platter. He enjoyed it. And my mom had the clam strip roll. It was huge with clams falling... More

While the prices are a bit more reasonable than most Cape restaurants, the food is not very good. Nothing "wrong" with it, but the fish was bland, and uninteresting and not appetizing. The vegetables were soggy and tastless. The clam chowder was ok. Its all served on paper and cardboard. We don't think this is a good Cape dining experience!

We had one meal there and were not overly impressed. As another reviewer noted, the food is bland. I had the whole lobster and it was fine because you don't have to flavor it to be good but my sister had the broiled fish and it had absolutely no seasoning of any kind. Wish it had of been better because... More

We had shrimp rolls, fries, clam chowder, and slaw...the only thing with flavour was the slaw. The chowder looked great but like everything was close to tasteless. The lunch prices are very reasonable, the restaurant was spotlessly clean and the service was great, too bad about the food!

My husband and I have seafood from Cooke's once a week. He has the grilled swordfish platter and I have broiled haddock. With a baked potato and mixed vegetables, the weekly cost is about 33.00. Sometimes we eat there and have a beer but most of the time we get take-out. The only negative I can say about Cooke's is... More

Cooks used to be good but they have basically priced themselves out of the market. For the amount of money they charge I don't want self service off paper plates. A better choice is Seafood Sam's for a lot less money.
