When traveling to New England, I like to try clam shacks and seafood restaurants for their full belly fried clams. The ones at cooke's were great! The clams were fresh and tasty and the batter was light. I liked that I was able to get vegetables instead of the usual fries.

Went here 3 times during the fall of October 2013, 2012 & 2011. Thought it would be like Hyannis which is overall great. Not so much in Mashpee. The fried clams and fish were very greasy like they cooked it in lukewarm oil. I think they should get some new cooks there. The counter staff were friendly though. After 3... More

Their pamphlet says "voted best seafood on the cape". I don't agree. We had take out, that was ok but not spectacular. I asked about scrod and was told " it's a fish". I figured that out myself! The staff were not eager to serve, about 6 of them standing around. We asked what the stuffed quahogs were stuffed with,... More

Everything fried was SO greasy that I decided to get a lobster roll figuring that anyplace that actually SELLS lobster would have fresh lobster meat in their roll. WRONG. It may have been fresh but the lobster meat had NO taste, It was rubbbery and coated in mayo and literally tasted like nothing, obviously it had been sitting in a... More

My sister and I ordered fried scallop platter and a clam strip platter, Scallops were not cooked, No flavor to the clam strips, the cole slaw was slapped in the middle of a hot plate and it was hot. Love hot cole slaw. The tarter sauce thrown in box with no covers. I would say not good. Oh and there... More

We were looking for a good old fashioned fried shrimp and clam platter - Cookes delivered! The batter was light and delicious, lots of plump shrimp or clams along with crispy fries and a few delicious onion rings. My husband and I each got a large soda, I got the fried shrimp platter and my husband got the fried clam... More

My partner says Cooke's looks like the "Kelly's Roast Beef" of seafood. It does have a sort of chainy, generic look to it (though there are only two). What it lacks in clam shack charm, it makes up for with a very nice staff, and a very good jumbo lobster roll filled with really good meat, and just enough mayo... More

The menu prices in Trip Advisor do not match the prices in the restaurant. The restaurant prices are almost double the prices on Trip Advisor!

Seafood served in an extremely casual family style environment. The portions were just right, meaning not huge but not small. The seafood was fresh and cooked with care. I really enjoyed their Quahog appetizer but wish I got two for $4.50 (my only complaint). The swordfish special was wonderful, my wife's fried scallops and shrimp were also amazing. The kids... More

The seafood is always fresh and reasonably priced. This is a great casual fun seafood restaurant and I have never been disappointed in my meal. The lobster is delis as are their fried clams and fish and chips.
