Stopped on highway after long day on Martha's vineyard. Cooked seafood was a quick reasonable option. Scallops and scrod casserole was good. Wife's salmon was OK but had a few bones. Biggest problem I had was all food was served on paper plates. Very ecological bad. Just plastic forks and plastic cups.

Cooke's is known for it's fried seafood. Having no interest in fried foods of any kind, we ordered the twin lobsters which were 1 1/4 each (advertised as 1 pounders) with some extra sides. $50 for 3 is a great value by any standard. The food was high quality and fresh. We were gladly among the locals and away from... More

Cookes offers good seafood at very reasonable prices. It's a comfortable family restaurant and one of our choices for mid week meals. Very consistent meals is a plus for us.

When traveling to New England, I like to try clam shacks and seafood restaurants for their full belly fried clams. The ones at cooke's were great! The clams were fresh and tasty and the batter was light. I liked that I was able to get vegetables instead of the usual fries.

Went here 3 times during the fall of October 2013, 2012 & 2011. Thought it would be like Hyannis which is overall great. Not so much in Mashpee. The fried clams and fish were very greasy like they cooked it in lukewarm oil. I think they should get some new cooks there. The counter staff were friendly though. After 3... More

Their pamphlet says "voted best seafood on the cape". I don't agree. We had take out, that was ok but not spectacular. I asked about scrod and was told " it's a fish". I figured that out myself! The staff were not eager to serve, about 6 of them standing around. We asked what the stuffed quahogs were stuffed with,... More

Everything fried was SO greasy that I decided to get a lobster roll figuring that anyplace that actually SELLS lobster would have fresh lobster meat in their roll. WRONG. It may have been fresh but the lobster meat had NO taste, It was rubbbery and coated in mayo and literally tasted like nothing, obviously it had been sitting in a... More
