I've eaten here a million times since The Hop first opened. consistently, it is by far the best breakfast and atmosphere in all Marshfield. we've had the French toast, apple pie pancakes, greek omelet, eggs and bacon, you can't go wrong. they also offer a great lunch. the value is quite good, (unless you get duped into letting your kids... Everything on their extensive breakfast menu is cooked to perfection. Our party of 4 enjoyed the usual bacon and eggs combo, corned beef hash with perfectly poached eggs, pancakes and a "to die for" omelet stuffed with bacon, tomato and cheese. Our waitress was very courteous and they do not rush you. Prices are more reasonable than their neighbor down... More

I have been to The Hop a number of times and never been let down. It is nothing fancy, just the feel of a classic diner, but it always hits the spot. Really good food, warm and friendly service, all at a very reasonable price. It is absolutely our go-to place when we want to enjoy a good breakfast in... More

Besides being a 1950-1960's time warp--the atmosphere, cleanliness, decor (formica-top tables, chairs, and upholstered booths, wait staff, and food are top of the line! I was impressed the first- and second times I have eaten there, BUT only consider reviewing a place IF it stands the test of time and number of visits. I ate there last Friday, and was... More

Loved the Joey Bishop sandwich. Dislike the noise. Sometimes waitresses are cleaning and then get your food. Little yukkie

Service was fast and friendly, food arrived steaming hot and the pricing was very reasonable. The business is spotless and fun to dine there, the servers we had on our two visits were great to talk with and provided superior service with a smile and a few laughs.

Great food and better value. Everything fresh and prepared the way I like it. I had pancakes and maple syrup that tasted the way my mother made them.

This should be in an airstream!! Great old fashion diner style food. Love it!! I love and miss New England style diner food. This is a godsend for Brant Rock it gives all of Marshfield a comfortable breakfast place to meet.

I have to admit, I think they do a nice breakfast. It's too bad it has to be ruined with slow service. I can understand the kitchen being backed up with a full house. But when you are seated at a dirty table and wait 15 minutes for a service to clean it, that's unacceptable.
