We went early on a Friday evening for dinner. So glad we were early. By 8PM the place was filled. Most patrons were Mexican. That was a good sign. The food was very good and the woman who served us was delightful. We had tacos and tamales. Chile rellenos are available if you call them one half hour in advance.

Ignore the facade of this restaurant. The food is fresh, made to order, authentic Mexican food. The Guacamole is made fresh. The chorizo gordita, a hand made thick corn tortilla, was amazing. The quesadilla and ceviche is also very good! The restaurant is small with quaint tables. They have a small bar area but do not serve mixed drinks. The... More

We found this place a few weeks ago completely by accident and now have been back twice. The atmosphere is really great with the bright colors and music of Mexico in the forefront. And the food! We've tried almost every taco on their menu and they are all excellent. The burritos are massive and very delicious and they have a... More

Cheerful, airy, rustic decor. We were charmed by the name, as our favorite Mexican place in Maine is Los Tapatios, and we loved the Tacos Jalisco truck back in California. We were richly rewarded with delicious tostadas and soft tacos, similar to the taco truck offerings, only better, served up on plates at a table with a fine selection of... More

Small family-run restaurant a bit off the beaten path. Fun atmosphere, very friendly staff and the most fresh, authentic Mexican food I have had in a long time. Complimentary chips and salsa and good selection of Mexican beer. The tamales are perfect! Mom sends the food from the kitchen in random order as she prepares it. Portions are not huge,... More

My wife and I visited this on a Sunday evening. The restaurant portion had two other tables being served while we were there. Our table was wobbly and the chair I sat in was loose. We were attended to relatively quickly and placed an order for guacamole and tamales as appetizers. We also ordered water WITHOUT ice but the waitress... More

I go there for lunch. The food is great and the service quick. Always crowded at lunchtime. The lunch crowd is made up of local people. There is free parking across the street.

The food was good, but was pricey for what you get. You must request complimentary nachos. No free refills on soft drinks, and any combo platters are at least $14.00. $35.00 for 2 to eat and I left hungry. I will not be back.

I went with my family on a Thursday evening - and was just awed at the great flavors and authentic foods available. Choosing was the challenge from the extensive menu! My son had the tamales, and said they melted in his mouth. We had a wide selection of tacos and a shrimp enchilada - all tasty. We will be going... More
