Its a really small breakfast and lunch stop. The food is good and cheap. Love that every Sunday morning they make fried dough but be ready to stand in line outside. Its just outside of the parking lot downtown Marblehead walk outside and there is the harbor!

I grew up in Marblehead. The Driftwood has always been a go to place. If you are visiting it is a must stop. Cheap good food. Weekends the fried dough is a must. My kids are probably 5th generation diners at our favorite breakfast and lunch spot anywhere.

A favorite...don't look for anything healthy or high end. But what they do is good and simple. Breakfast is great.

This is your standard bacon eggs sausage pancake kind of place. If getting juice always order the large. Good service in this small old harbor side building. Drafty on cold mornings. Blueberry pancakes and the eggs are all good choices.

Too many times people ask that a restaurant be more than it is... This is just a very good, local breakfast place (think Diner without the Worcester Dining Car Streamliner)...They'll poach eggs without a sneer, have a great mustard sauce for their eggs, massive blueberry pancakes, combined with reasonable prices and cordial service... Whatd'ya want? Foie gras?...

After reading the excellent reviews for the Driftwood we bypassed the coffee and muffins at the in the give the Driftwood a try. Unfortunately we didn't feel the same as many of the reviewers. We found the Driftwood to be just average. The service was very good, prompt with the ordering and coffee refills. The average part was the food,... More

Growing up in Marblehead many many years ago before it was a tourist mecca, the Driftwood was a great local place for locals and good food. Recently we had the opportunity to be back in Marblehead for an afternoon and went to the Driftwood for lunch which was pleasing to experience the same great food and service. Fish and chips... We went there with my son. They raved about breakfast and it was well deserved. The blueberry pancakes were among the best I have had. Their fried dough was a big hit. The prices were very reasonable. This is a classic small town locals joint. No decor but great food.

We'd heard and read about this place, the shabby chic, the place locals eat, the queues to get in, the great food - all true - it has charisma, charm, lovely, helpful staff and great food. This was my first taste of clams - strips apparently, they were OK, I'm glad I tried them - I like to try everything... More

This little joint serves a great meal. Might have to wait for a table, and take cash, All of the food is good as we have visited here on several occasions.
