Loved this restaurant. Ate there 3 times in 4 days. We liked sitting outside. Evening view is great. Right on the water. Service was awesome and so was the food.

Based on the recommendation of a store clerk in town we decided to walk down to the Barnacle for our Friday dinner. This place is right on the waterfront and upon seeing someone smoking inside we opted for the patio/deck overlooking the water. Although the two person table was small it was a beautiful view over the water. I started... More

Of setting (overlooking the harbo), menu choice (lobster, wine, and a selection of not-fried fish) and formality (casual and fun, but not served on the standard New England paper plates and picnic benches). We'll be back.

A great family place to enjoy fair seafood, overlooking the beauty and boat-filled Marblehead harbor. Seafood is good - not great. Seating indoors has tables on top or each other being so small. So you do feel crowded. Crab leg appetizer came in bounteous portions. Chowder creamy but lacking in substance. Fried shrimp tasty. Friendly and helpful staff.

Restaurant is located on the Harbor overlooking breath-taking water views. We built up a hunger from walking around historic Marblehead, so we were looking forward to dinner at The Barnacle. Delicious corn bread was brought out. H and I shared onion rings, also battered with corn meal. The green salads were very good. H had the baked scallops. He said... More

The Barncle has a seating area that looks out over Marblehead Sound. Of course, there's not much to look at after sundown, but before...? The also have really good seafood chowder.
