What a cool little spot to hang! I had a wonderful wine at the bar and saw a guest with fries...try their fries! So yummy! Awesome for viewing the ocean but I've also heard this is a great spot to sit front row during a Nor'Easter!!

We ate outside on the deck on a Friday night. If the wind picks up it can be a problem. The restaurant was crowded but we didn't have to wait. Room was tight when patrons or servers crowded by. My wife had the steamed lobster, which was quite good and fairly reasonable at $18. I had the sirloin and stiffed shrimp,... More

Let's face it: I don't think anyone really goes to The Barnacle for the food (except maybe the chowder, which continues to be very good). It's your standard fish options, some dishes better than others. I split a nice seafood casserole with my aunt that was a good size portion. My husband's fish 'n chips were totally unimpressive. The limoncello... More

love this spot - best seafood chowder and fried clams in the most spectacular spot. All my world traveling friends beg me to come back here. Bloody Mary's are to die for!

This is a place where you want to order seafood! The scallops were melt in your mouth delicious, the mussles as an ap were stellar(no broth for bread dipping)and the salmon was moist and flavorful. The fried seafood dinner looked delicious as many people had ordered it; but we were eating non fried. The ribeye was just o.k. nothing special........ More

We go here on every visit, you just can't beat the view. The food and staff are pretty good too. A classic place that's not too crowded with tourists. Chowder, lobster, fried seafood, what's not to love?

We recently returned to the Barnacle and we just loved it. The food was fabulous. I had the lobster roll and my husband had a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. The menu has a great selection of food so there is something for everyone from seafood to steak tips. You cannot beat the view. I am so grateful that we... More

Average at best. I don't know the why this restaurant seems to get high reviews. The food is average at best. Mostly fried or breaded casserole seafood and the menu hasn't changed much. A little cramped inside. I don't think it has been updated in a while.
