This was my first trip to the east coast with my group of Midwest friends so we wanted to try as much seafood as possible. This was the first place we dined (recommended to us by Nancy from Pheasant Hill B&b) and at by the end of the trip it was unanimous that this was the best chowder we had.... More

Sometimes its even better to sit in the bar and have dinner with some friends. Plenty of good cocktails and selection of beer. Full menu with some really great bartenders.

Terrible food, rude waitstaff, bunch of drunks at the bar, loud tourists who've been led astray by people who think the counters and tables that your hands stick to are "local color" rather than bad hygiene..I could go on. If you are drunk or want to be, go here. Otherwise avoid like the plague.

The lobster roll was nothing short of amazing....large lumps of lobster, little mayo. Just a great meal and the view was perfect. Prices are extremely reasonable!

We went for lunch 2 days in a row - great seafood. Very good service. The place has lots of character and we noticed that the locals seem to love the place.

The staff was great! Especially Courtney! She gave us such great insight of the surrounding area. Food was awesome!

Who could ask for more!!!! The food is delicious and to sit out on the deck overlooking the harbor and lighthouse watching the sun set was just the most beautiful evening!!! The lobster special on Wednesday nights was such a treat. Yum 2 lobsters for the price of one !!!!

Generally, good food. Excellent views of the Marblehead harbor. Bar scene can be fun, but the bar area is usually full of regulars - not much room or acceptance for outsiders

This restaurant began life a long time ago and in much rougher circumstances than now ... it was once a fisherman's ale house, open to the air and about as unfancy as it could get. Today's it's one of Marblehead's two (count 'em TWO) public waterfront restaurants (the other is The Landing), so it gets crowded on weekends. But check... More

Barnacle is a quaint bar restaurant hidden at the end of Front St, with outdoor deck, warm sun in October, and a delicious variety of seaside standards. We enjoyed a beer and lobster salad fresh salad I might add with a dipping vinaigrette and a ton of lobster. Not quite fresh like you pull it apart, but good! Cool bar... More
