Unexpectedly good

Typically hotel restaurants are average at best. The food at Pike's Peak was VERY good. We had original steak tips cooked to perfection with fresh green beans and potato. Cold beer on tap. No need to leave the premises.

Great servers and food! Ate and drank comfortably at the bar. Food was hot and prompt. If a restaurant has a good burger then most of the rest is good too!

I travel 15 miles to eat there twice before and enjoyed ambiance and food. One month ago went for dinner and they handed me a small sandwich menu for dinner saying too many people at hotel to prepare full menu. Only occurrence. We left. Yesterday, 3/13/15, tried again. Same small sandwich menu. We got the same line. Complained and manager... More

We ate dinner here the other night and the food was very good. The prime rib was very tender and flavorful. The cornbread they serve with rolls was very good as well. It would taste even better if they served it warm. We will go back again.

Took advantage of the breakfast buffet when we stayed at the Holiday Inn. It was a great deal, kids eat free with a paying adult. So everyone had a full stomach! Spend the extra couple bucks and get the hot stuff. Waitress knew everything about everything, but she was really sweet and nice. She brought a couple of to go... More

Incredibly slow service, inattentive waitstaff. Wilted lettuce, rock hard tomatoes (in August!), greasy burger, stale bun. Best part of the meal was that the manager was kind enough to comp it. Two days later tried a room service turkey wrap with extra crispy bacon. Flaccid bacon, absolutely inedible. Big chunks of tomato and - shocker - wilted lettuce. I give... More

The food is fairly average but since there's nothing else close by, the convenience makes up for it. I was in a group where someone ordered prime rib only if it was rare. The server checked and said it would be rare, so she ordered this rather expensive piece of meat. When it arrived, it was not rare. It was... More

Won't serve more than a beer every 15 minutes and if you have a shot, forget it. Food is typical Sysco truck frozen stuff.

A very GOOD place! I had the BEST service I have EVER HAD! It took ONE person to make an impressive Impression on me to turn something that was bad in to a WONDERFUL one. If you are ever in this area, be sure to stop in and get served by Bartender George Nahas! He is STILL keeping hospitality alive... More

To be honest, we liked it. Great atmosphere, bartender was a good guy, friendly people at the bar. aside from the sub par regular bar food, totally a cool little spot
