Old Tyme is one of my Favorite places to eat when I'm in MA. I've seen the location go thru a number of incarnations thru the years, and so far this is the absolute Best of them. The food is wonderful, and there are a lot of choices. Of course, I have a favorite, and tend to get it whenever... More

The food is consistently good, and the meal sizes are very good. It's one of my families favorite places to go for Italian food. I personally like the chicken and vinegar peppers and their chicken marsala. They also have delicious soups. It's not a fancy restaurant, but it's a great place to go with family or friends when you want... More

Our group of eight dines here frequently. The service is friendly and the food is delicious. The menu has a wide selection of dishes from the usual (veal parm) to the unusual (chicken ala marvin). One of the group thinks Old Tyme's veal parm is the best on the North Shore. The atmosphere is homey and casual not elegant. (And... More

The waitstaff is very nice, the food is nothing special and I think is overpriced for what you get in this market area. A garden salad for $3.95, really? The salad is not large and is just average in taste and variety of items in the dish. The pasta dishes can be mushy or done nicely; I guess it is... More

Looking for a place for dinner before a show in Lynn and came across some reviews for this place and decided to try it. Started the meal with some Escarole Fagoli that was very nice, reminded me of how my grandmother made it! The dinners of eggplant parm and linguine bolonese both featured a nice clean tomato sauce, the pasta's... More

We have eaten at this restaurant once before and never went back and I don't know why?! It's not that we were disappointed. Well, we went back the other day and I thought we were too late for lunch but they kept the lunch menu for another hour. I got Chicken Broccoli Ziti and it was a good sized portion... More

Went late night for dinner (talking 9:30 p.m. weeknight) Only 2 in restaurant--great service & she did not rush us @ all-even though kitchen closes @ 10:00 p.m. Stuffed mushroom appetizer was excellent! I got Veal Francaise over Penne-Very good but small portion of veal-maybe because so late. My husband got Veal/Eggplant Parm combo--one small piece of veal & couldn't... More

We were looking for someplace to have lunch and happened upon this restaurant after having passed by it many times. It doesn't look like anything special from the outside, we thought initially it was a bar room but were pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was terrific and the food was very good. I got the chicken caccitori and ordered the angel... More

My husband & I love their Artichoke Hearts Margherita (appetizer), their Veal Mamma Marie (veal, shrimp, scallops, asparagus, artichoke hearts), and their Bistecca Roverto (steak with eggplant, prosciutto, mozzarella, mushrooms, marsala sauce). We always have great meals at a very reasonable price, and service has always been super friendly and prompt. Although the neighborhood is "interesting" (i.e., not really the... More
