Great place for take out. Room is small, but service is good. They also offer delivery. I really enjoy the lamb.
This restaurant is good (but not great). The staff is always friendly and attentive. Lunch is the real bargain here and since it is across the street from the Visitor's Center and close to the Lexington Battle Green, it is the best choice for tourists, especially if there are vegetarians in your group.
We've been several times and been very happy with the food. Our latest visit was good, but not great, and therefore a little disappointing. Maybe it was just an off night. We'll certainly go again... and I hope my review will help them get back on game as we'd hate to lose such a great little place. Note: it's a... More
So the context is, I am of Indian heritage but born and brought up in the UK! I have just moved to the Boston area for work and my parents had come to visit and so we had to take some fellow Indian friends out to dinner and based on reviews picked this place. On weekends, they will not take... More
I have had Indian food in and around Lexington, and this place is my new favorite. We had to wait briefly for a table, because there was a lively weekday lunch crowd, but the service was excellent -- our server answered questions thoughtfully and accommodated a guest's request concerning a sauce. The food? Delicious!!!
My wife and I have eaten Indian food at least once per week for 28 years and our dinner on Tuesday evening was superb with great ingredients, generous portions, excellent service and a buzzy atmosphere. This is a family operated restaurant with mum cooking in the kitchen and her two sons plus others front of house offering great advice on... More
Came here for an early lunch on Sat. of Labor Day weekend. The place was not at all busy -- can't imagine why! Excellent food and service, plus reasonable prices. Gluten-free was not a problem -- they even had GF pappadums! Their "Thali" lunch special (a "sampler" of three entrees plus naan bread and rice) was delicious and not an... More
excellent food, very good service, fine menue, people are very plesant and pleased to see you. it is small place so go early and in winter it is quite cosy with the aromas coming from the kitchen. go there regularly.
Indian restaurants are not normally my favorite but being a lunch guest I went along with the suggestion. However, at the Royal Indian Bistro the food and experience was great. Tasty chicken tikka with spicy sauce with rice and spicy condiments was a joy. My lunch partner had a mixed lunch special which was both tasty and generous in terms... More
Always an excellent experience. The food is always good. At lunch time the wait is crazy if you get there after about 1145. For good reason! I've eaten here many times. Mostly for lunch, and once for dinner with several friends. The place is a little small so you can expect that they won't seat you unless your entire party... More
