We were craving Indian food, so we decided to try this cute little place. We generally get our Indian food in Cambridge, so we were hoping for the best. It is a tiny place, but clean and cozy. Hubby had the lunch special for $10.95, which consisted of raitha, naan, chicken tikka masala, vegetable curry and pakora. I had the... More

I love Indian food, so I had to try this place and I wasn't disappointed. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala, Vegetable Curry, and Naan. All were very good. The restaurant itself is really small -- only nine tables. It doesn't take much to fill this place up, so you may end up rubbing shoulders with your neighbors. If you... More

Having lived in London for over 10 years, I have become 'addicted' to Indian food. Chicken Jalfrezi is my litmus test for any Indian restaurant. It's not on their menu, but they made it for me anyway. It was all delicious. I ate far too much and was in a pleasant food coma!!!! I can't wait to go back with... More

Their lunch special (thali with nan, rice, raitha, choice of 3 dishes) for $10.95 is a great value. Their North Indian dishes are excellent. While they offer some South Indian dishes (uthampam, dosa, etc), they are not on par with their North Indian dishes. We love this place for lunch, dinner and takeout. It is really the best Indian restaurant... More

Dinner after working late one night, with work colleagues. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala (Boneless diced chicken tandoori cooked in a creamy tomato sauce) - it was very good and spiced just right. For dessert - my colleague suggested the Gulab Jamun (A north Indian sweet dessert, delicious light pastry ball made from milk fried and soaked in the... More

I was looking for a quick lunch on a busy Saturday and found myself here based on other tripadvisor reviews. The lunch special was terrific- naan, rice, 3 small portions for $10.95 (I tried the pakoras, chicken tikka masala, and vegetable korma) and was not disappointed.

This place is so delicious, I can't stand it. The Indian food is mouth-wateringly delicious with complex flavors and they really honor your request for spiciness. If you want it mild, they make it mild (which I appreciate). The staff are so friendly. We had to wait a long time for a table and they gave us free drinks as... More

It is strange how few good places to eat there are in Lexington. Royal India Bistro is really small and we were there early on a Wednesday evening. By the time we left the line was out the door on a cold weekday evening. They do not take reservations. This is good Indian food with generous portions and reasonable prices.... More

A couple of years ago I went to an Indian restaurant in Lexington which was okay but not great. I wasn't surprised to discovered it subsequently closed. As I was planning to take some colleagues to dinner I was interested in re-visiting Lexington and decided to try the Royal India. I was able to secure a booking for six people... More

This fairly new restaurant has become very popular in Lexington. Note that it is quite small but it is near the Visitor's Center and the Green. Prices are reasonable and the food is good. I have gone there often for lunch with the 'girls.'
